This is a power grab by them but the poor folk striking because their rich well off masters are telling them to, are so gullible that they can't see it.

Trebs mentioned the right wing in one of his first responses today, that said to me straight away this is about politics and nowt to do with underfunding or wages. Think of the poor kids going hungry at lunchtime today, while Trebs is down the pub knocking back refreshments. Alhough I expect his pupils think it's a normal day for him.

Yeah the right wing has it problems but have you seen the left wing on here frothing at the mouth for their hatred (racism) of the Jews?

Are they passionate about Ukraine? Are they ****.
Do they care about Muslims being smashed in Yemen? Not a word said.

The jews of Israel though... sends them wild <laugh>

My kid hasn't gone hungry the little **** has fleeced me for Greggs and Macdonald's already.

Unless he's getting paid for striking or taking it as holiday. I don't know how all that works with unions - I know it can be a pain in the arse to make adjustment of hours compared to deducting a full day.

That's exactly what I think. It's like the railway and tube workers, are they even striking now, because if they are they are not getting the same publicity, but still losing money, it's just not sustainable.

The Tories will be out next election, but I honestly can't see Labour fixing any of this, no one is going to get the wage demands they are currently wanting, regardless of who is in power, then when you factor in the financial losses of being on strike, madness.

My son told me he has lost 3 weeks money in total due the strikes. I’m not sure if all of the actual strike days or he was on rostered rest for some of the strike days.

That's not good mate, I did wonder if some lads would change days off and stuff.
 
At least one teacher is putting what he signed up for first. The children.

We caught up with one teacher today on his lunch break who has decided not to join the strike action.

His school is partially closed and he now has extra pupils in his class making it “massively busier".

Many other schools in his area are fully closed so the teachers are also having to bring their own children to work.

“I don’t think striking is the answer,” he says, speaking to us anonymously.

He believes he has a slightly different perspective having only joined education in the last few years after working in other sectors.

“I agree with strikes overall” he adds but not for teachers as children have just been through lockdown and “now we are doing this - it doesn’t make sense to me".

Go through my history and I'm against striking. I think it's a scumbags trick. Nee offence like.
