Man makes a very good point, all the people he mentions work harder than the driver and probably have to put more thought and effort into the job.
How do you know how hard a train driver works? Even if the job may not be as physically demanding as some of the other rail jobs it has a high level of responsibilty associated with it.

I'm usually in total agreement with your view on politicians sucky.

but as the official not606 fact checker, that MP rise of 2212 is that pa mean per annum?

I think it percentage terms they are similar-ish? but in absolute terms a 59p rise on an average of a 40 hour week will mean they get around 1227 quid a year raise.

Still a lot less in absolute terms but not as little as the post makes it out to be

Although the chances of anyone getting away will be down to airports instructing airlines to cancel flights due to staff shortages.
