Nah, decided to stick around and let you continue with the multiple rants. It’s more fun watching you become more and more unhinged.
Still laughing at you, by the way <laugh>

Ah that's good then. Why do you try to belittle people, do you think you are better than everyone else, you seem to have this air of arrogance about you. I mean afterall I've accepted you calling me unhinged etc, but what about yourself, is there some sort of self importance in that little man of you?

Your actions over the last hour or so prove you to be nothing more than an out and out hypocrite. If my initial comment had upset you, why did you not drop me a PM and give me a chance to apologise. Your happy to aim insults and make unsubstantiated claims but don’t like it when you get some back. As I said spoiling for a fight and unfortunately I was the fall guy on this occasion.

Nah.

And amazed it made sense <laugh>

You do talk like babychimps, clearly.

Thought you were referring to barms but misspelt.

And fck you, it's a beautiful language up here <whistle>

My mrs had elicution lessons when she was younger cos her dad didn't want her to have the accent <laugh>

I don't run behind PM's if I have something to say, I say it on here publically, then I can't get accusations of saying stuff that I haven't. Example would be like you accusing me falsely of insulting a family member when I did no such thing, instead it was used as a deflection, because you weren't as calm and jokey as you were trying to allude to. I wasn't spoiling for any fight, I was keeping Sucky's thread active, I say alternative things that get a reaction, and you reacted, despite me not aiming anything at anyone specific. As I said there is an air of self importance about you, thus you think you can belittle people, I merely stood my ground in the only way I know how. It's what I do, as you said I'm unhinged.

This is true.

But there are still high streets and there are still book shops.

Things have changed and people have adapted.
I'd think a large group of people will regularly want to still go to actual shops and buy things themselves, just like now.

In wimborne there is an independent record store ( square records is the name ) and an independent book shop ( Gullivers ) . One family owns these and a Sister bookshop in Bournemouth .
All are very well supported .

Since lock down eased a while back their trade has gone mad because never mind Amazon , but people didn’t / still don’t want to travel miles to go to castle point , or west quay .

As a result people started looking locally and the vast majority have stayed .

Waterstones is good , but none really near here and the level of service is second to none .

Ah I see, you make alternative comments to get a reaction and that’s perfectly acceptable and we all laugh. If I say something, it’s somehow belittling you…OK got it.

You talk about deflection but in more than half of your responses to me in the last hour or so, you have continued to make a false claim that I’m somehow upset because my son works for Network Rail. Of course you will continue with that line of attack, because that’s all you’ve got.

I’ve called you unhinged because your multiple rants this afternoon would suggest you have anger issues.

My only mistake was to correct you on your repeated claim that the rail strike is over automation. That comes from personal knowledge and the unions reminding us that the modernisation was agreed with the unions previously. If you think that’s me having any kind of high opinion of myself, then you can chalk that up as another fail.

How I talk or feel about unions is me, why should I conform and clap like everyone else?

In the main I've been the only alternative voice on here, just leave me be, why does it bother you so much, if I weren't here Sucky's thread would have died after the first half dozen pages. There's only so much echo before people get bored, instead he's got 21+ pages.

You saw me as the fall guy and thought you could make comments and I'd let them ride, but I never. Why do I think you thought that, I'll tell you, because I have the admin tools, you even alluded in one comment 'the outcome.' - despite me not having banned anyone from here, for how long I've actually forgotten. Actually quite the opposite, I've unbanned people who have been banned for a few years.

You wanted to have a pop, so I had a go back, without my tools. As I said, there feels an air of importance about yourself and I've got no time for it fella. Like you said, I'm unhinged, ok good, I've heard it, I've heard you loud and clear but it will not stop me slagging off the unions or the rail workers whenever I like, if you don't want me to do that, then set up a poll see if people agree my speech should be restricted, I will abide by the result to appease your precious soul.

I went into Lloyds Bank yesterday for two things. First to put some cash into the account (yeh I know, cash what's that these days!). Woman behind the counter does it grudgingly, tells me to use the machine next time. I then ask if I can open an account for my son. She tells me to do it online. Wouldn't even entertain the idea in branch. I looked at her and was close to saying "aren't you like a turkey voting for christmas with this bollox? You'll be gone soon enough and so will this branch"

I appreciate change is necessary and the two examples I've given can be replaced by machine, but there's something to be said for social interaction as a society, for our community, for our growth, for our mental health, for our ability to communicate. What price on that?

Then there's the issue of what happens when automation fails or when individual circumstances don't fit into a neat linear format which algorithms are able to factor in.

Overall there are lots of positives with automation but I think it takes something away from us as a society.

Anyway I told my boy there's no fcking way I'm ordering my meals on wheels online 20 yrs from now, so he'll have to bring it round.

As regards Banks , what about the Elderly ? And those parking meters where you have to put in your number plate and pay by card ?

Most of the branches in local towns are gone so they have to go to larger town centres. This is partly what I meant about their importance for social interaction and sense of community.

Those cashless parking meters will.be great for many but not for all. I think that's the thing here, sections of society are being marginalised. Conform if you can or tough ****.

You really do have a chip on your shoulder.

You liked my earlier comments, which were tongue in cheek but at least truthful about your dislike of unions. It was nothing more than banter on what was, at the time, a lighthearted thread. I also made it clear that I don’t support industrial action, which is true and kind of negates some of your subsequent claims.I really couldn’t care less whether you like unions or not and I realised early on you were having some fun at posters, including me, expense.
It was only after you went off on a tangent and started to repeat this automation story that you started to take umbrage. You’ve since tried to deflect this as me getting the hump because of my sons employment.

For someone who claims that I belittle others and have a high opinion of myself, your doing a great job of making that claim look foolish.

Not sure why your mentioning your tools, perhaps you’ve thought of it but realised it would make you look even more foolish than you have managed today <laugh>

I will say this one more time, I’m happy to keep responding to your posts, but believe me when I say I’m laughing at how you have gone off on one. I’m happy to leave it as I’m sure it’s starting to bore everyone senseless, but if you want to keep insulting me then I’m happy to point out your hypocrisy.

Ok so as well has being unhinged, I've now got a chip on my shoulder. There goes yourself importance again.

I never once thought about using my tools, it was comment you made, about your dealings with brb, it's what I saw as you alluding to.

Thing is you weren't laughing, as you claimed I insulted your family, you still haven't retracted that comment nor do I expect you to do. As I said if I want to slag of the unions and the railways I will.

As for me boring everyone senseless, I didn't realise you had become the official spokesperson for on here, it's that self importance coming out of you again.
