I've always been against strikes, part reason I very rarely vote Labour. I still remember the bully boy unions of the 70's, I have no time for militancy, they rarely actually want to negotiate but more shout and get abusive towards you, if you dare disagree with them. The unions and its members are still generally stuck in the dark prehistoric ages, don't like change, won't allow change, get back to your cave. Talking of which what about all the supermarket jobs, that have been lost to a cashless society, you all use the manless check outs, you all do stuff online, you've all paid cashless right, so why is change ok there but not on the railways? I tell you why, because it's ran by a bunch of Archers Roads, who are more interested in their gee gee bet at the weekend than they are about CUSTOMERS!
I was always in the Union , they provide much more than negotiating pay increases! That was my union , can’t speak about others of course . The thing that always pissed me off , was when we got a pay rise and the non-members got it as well
and anyone that thinks it don't get out of hand when we have them nutters striking, needs to go away and look up the name David James Wilkie.
But not having unions means what? The companies and employers make it up? Whats to stop all big business owners then saying okay... Everyone gets paid a quid an hour, trains, nurses, buses, teachers and whoever else who works for something they own.? Dont sound like a good idea at all
Never bothered joining a union outside of a 3 month spell where I thought I might need them for something specific. Waste of time and money outside of specific industries/occupations imo.

Those non members didn’t deserve it? They spent less time worrying and picketing outside and more time caring about their jobs. Should have got bigger pay rises
