Anyone else find it a wee bit awkward because elsewhere in the world that would be associated with drinking cough syrup?

He's clearly talking about squash with childhood glee, and I find it hilarious how enthusiastic he gets by the end of it, but I couldn't help but think of 'lean' too
 
I heard of this syrup/sirop from my french friend not too long back.. he told me about it and i was like ohh so its like cordial/squash.. he told me it wasnt the same, i think it is something similar but literally like a sugar syrup you mix with water. i tried some but it tastes just like a cordial but a bit sweeter
