This. The maths doesn't stack up. The costs of doing this would be mammoth, due to the technological needs and surrounding area. The resulting revenue - particularly if we have Ashley for another 10 years and can't even sell out the existing ground - simply wouldn't be worth it. The first expansion should have dealt with the whole stadium, not left half of it smaller untouched. It/they (SJH/FFS) didn't do what they should have and the opportunity was gone. If we ever do feel the need to expand or move, the Town Moor would again be the location of choice. But I don't see it happening.
tbf it was people signing petitions that stopped them building an 80,000 seater and instead had to spend more money on the extension we got.
Well I come from York up the A19 and after an hour and a half drive I am rewarded with a stunning view of the ground followed by a great view of the Tyne Bridge. Is this worth keeping at the expense of some office block or posh flats ? Probably yes. There's plenty of offices and flats to choose from and only one view. Also the ambience of the Strawberry is going to be ruined - another effing disgrace.
It'll be student accommodation,we will never have enough,I reckon there's more student accommodation than student's now but keep on building
What? Are you suggesting it would be cheaper in those in the Gallowgate agreed that others could just sit on their laps? Perv.
I I’m sure with the amount of student accommodation that we have now, never mind more, we’re housing all the students as far north as Glasgow and as far south as Birmingham.
