I might be wrong with this, but wasn't Lambert quite keen on him last summer before we snapped him up? Now he has a bigger transfer kitty I wouldn't put it past him bidding. He's a class player but he has been ****e in the PL. Lets see how it develops.
Not being funny but I'd be amazed if he was Lambert's 'top target' ...... Nugent was great for us last season and I really hope he stays as I'm sure we will get the same from him this season ...... but I honestly do believe that the Championship is his level and that he will struggle to make any dramatic impact in the Prem ....... his limitations have been exposed before at that level .. so yes to helping us get there but a squad player at best once there ...... if Lambert really does want him and offers anything in excess of £2 million I'd happily take it .... only my opinion of course ... but I am usually right LOL
Nugent has failed everytime he has been in the prem. why would he be Villa's top target Its a bollocks rumour feed anyway
Oh I agree. But how many of his side last season had previous PL experience? He's clearly a quality manager. Well, here's hoping it doesn't happer
they have bent and agbonlahor, not to mention weimann and after holt. Delfounso probably is worse than Nugent but decent 4th choice. Nugent has failed in the premiership, but he is a top championship striker. I cant see him going there.
Not sure where Bent would go ...... I suspect Villa is his zenith ... obviously money might be a factor that could tempt him, but I don't really see any 'bigger clubs' (term used very loosely) about to come in for him.. do you?
Liverpool was linked with a 20M bid in Jan But with Defoe possibily going for about half that i know who i would prefer
id prefere bent at club level. Play him 90 minutes every game and he will score you goals. But the best clubs need more than just goals, they need more flair and creativity, hence why he flopped at tottenham.
I really doubt that Liverpool would spend that sort of money on Bent now ... the Euros has been a pretty good shop window and with players of the ilk of Dzagoev potentially on the market why would you go for someone who could not make the Spurs first team on a regular basis (if you are Liverpool) ..
Dzagoev's contract runs out in January, apparently he's worth 14m to whoever bids. Nobody wants to bid until his contract runs out though.
Different class to Crouch .. and preferred to Jelavic at national level ........ the lad has all the attributes of a class player ... seems to be more akin to Ibrahimovic but so far without the ego .. suspect we will be hearing alot about him ... but I thought he had either just signed for someone new or signed a new contract at least?
I wasn't comparing their quality, just the attributes. Basically the pace, touch and finishing of Jelavic and presence in the air and power of Crouch.
