Had a bit of silly banter with a couple of your supporters but not a bad word to say about NP. Nothing against Leicester City either as we have never been rivals in the past. NP was one of our better managers and we wouldn't have just had a couple of decent seasons if NP hadn't brought in the players he did . Also took us on our longest EVER unbeaten away run. I'm sure given time NP will take your team up.. If Steve Bruce can carry on the good work started by NP then we have a decent chance of a play off spot and who knows .... Our rivals have been the 2 Sheffield clubs and Leeds going back , even middlesborough and Sunderland in the 70s Would honestly like BOTH our teams to go up....with Leeds , Sheff Wed and M/Boro going down If only.... Sure I hated how NP left but big money talks ...
He shouldn't be used to it as he is a fellow Leicester fan like you as you're both always on here. Definitely shows how our great club has much more fans than that team from Humberside
Not about the money. He had unfinished business and he always said he was dissapointed to have to leave. He hated the Milan era and he hated how Sousa was shown around the training ground while he was still manager. Quite obvious how he loves Leicester and sees it as a project to take it from League One to the PL and beyond.
Pearson came back here for a number of reason Ambition, to finish what he started, money, bigger club, better facilities, better backing If you dont want to believe the truth then its up to you
NP did a good job for us, I wouldn't pretend otherwise, but I'm not really bothered that he's gone. His recruitment was excellent, but his football was disappointing, I wouldn't have minded him staying, as we were in a fairly dire place when he arrived and he did do a good job, but no-one will succeed in the Premier League with his tactics, so if you do go up, you'll have to get someone else.
Have you ever considered Pearson set out that way because defending was your strength and attacking your weakness. He thought that was the best way or winning football matches so he did. He have better attacking players then you allowing us to set out more attacking. We just need to close the back door
Until Nigel manages in the prem no one can say anything like that As i said he set Hull out like that because that was there strengths, had they had better attacking players he would of set them out more to be more attacking
Nigel got little money from us, as we were skint when he came in, but when we were bought out he got a few million, most of which he spent on strikers. He only ever played one of them as a striker, that was Fryatt and though he did well, though he's quite obviously not happy playing as a lone striker. The point I made about his tactics being no good for the Premier League are merely my opinion, as you say, until he gets there, we won't know for sure.
Fryatt played a few games up front on his own for us and while he played well he didnt look like scoring. When Waghorn went up top on his own he played well and scored goals aswell. Fryatt really only ever scored goals for us when he had Steve Howard next to him
Ha ha, your manager's never managed in the Prem - I can't believe that, our manager has managed in the premier league for 12 years, ha ha funny that isn't it
Well I think I have an idea of how old you are - You do know you're putting the entire Hull and Leicester board at risk of prosecution for grooming don't you
