It is a known fact that more money is made from the executive boxes and club level than match tickets.Tickets for the lower tier are £38 or £35 for 14 of 19 home league games.I have no problem getting tickets for the lower tier,i just buy them on the day they go on sale.I totally agree with you that the categorising <sic> of games as "A" & "B" is a ****ing scam

How so? I saw Chelsea (Class A team) at Anfield and paid £42 (member) and saw Villa for 40£ (class B) and Birmingham for £36 (Class C) so the difference, for us anyway, is minimal and also reflects the fact people won't pay top dollar for a game against relegation fodder.

I'm paying £35 to watch Blackburn tomorrow,i paid £51 to watch Man Utd in near enough the same seat.I think it's a ****ing scam.
I notice Liverpool are charging Arsenal fans £45 for a ticket with an extremeley restricted view at least there are no restricted or extremeley restricted views at the Emirates

Hey It wasn't meant as a go at you. And yea, Anfield has restricted views in a few areas. One of the many reasons we're hoping we get a new stadium. How is it a scam to be charged more for United? It really is simple supply and demand

I'm grateful that we have a well run club and that we haven't been reckless with our finances but what most of us are proposing isn't going to change that. Just a competitive squad. Established talent to augment the young talent we already have. I'm not unrealistic and demanding that we win the league every year, I just want us to be competitive. The last time I truly believed we could win the league was the infamous Eduardo leg break season, we passed it around beautifully and were incisive and direct and also very hard working. I don't think anyone can claim that we haven't gone down hill since then, our squad is much, much weaker than before.

The one that really pisses me off is when the away team charges more because they are playing Arsenal. You end up paying more than their fans paid to go to the Emirates.

That is true, but apparently the Arsenal deal includes some cup games.
