Which is different to Post #32 - "Luke Shaw who went for £32m".

The fee may rise to £31m but as of today it's £27m. Hopefully we do pay the extra £4m as it will mean that both Shaw and United have been successful.

Being right doesn't make me pedantic. I'm sure that if I said Lukaku went for £30million you'd correct me.

All of which is completely irrelevant to the simple point, that we'd want more than £32m for Stones.

 

This only becomes true when "the market" pays more for him than Luke Shaw

If Chelsea pay £35m for Stones, he is obviously worth it to them. Otherwise he is only worth what someone will pay, same for any player.

 

I don't deny that but on this occasion you lost the plot simply for being corrected on a transfer fee. It was so extreme in fact that Blueman, my permanent shadow, has now added you to his Like list which is largely made up of Bigoted Chavs and Delusional Dippers! Perhaps lost the plot was a bit extreme as everything is relative You've got a lot of form for throwing windmills when you've been called on something so it's not really losing the plot if it's standard behaviour. Usually though it's later on when you're hammered and the Dippers are toying with you.

Reports that you lot are going to rock up with a bid for him. Driving the price up to close to the £38m we've supposedly put on his head

Was skeptical on this happening at first.
But I think now its probably going to happen, just Everton holding on to see how much they can get and Chelsea trying to pay the least amount possible.
They'll probably reach an acceptable fee at some point in the next week or so.

 

i'm fuming that we are even contemplating wasting money like this. Is he better than cahill? Not in my eyes. I would rather we paid 26m to get someone like hummels/varane/martinez

 

If you're funming at the thought of paying £26m, you'll be positively raging when they agree to shell out £35m......
