I went to the cup final yesterday and it was the loudest it's been at Wembley since it opened, the Chelsea fans were really quite outstanding.
Louder than our play off final? Actually probably was, half the ****ers there didn't even know what to sing. They'd just mumble "come on Hull".
Thank you for stating the obvious. My question refers to the lay-out of the ground. Stoke has three huge open corners, and despite the posts on here telling me Stokes stands are higher then ours, I've actually been inside the ground on several occasions and I base my observations from actually seeing the place and not just from looking at photographs. To me it doesn't look as big as the KC. And that was my question, how can they get more people in the stadium then us ?
It sounds simple but the fact is their stands hold more on 3 sides of the ground. Three sides of the KC are quite shallow. The KC is a far better stadium though. As it should be as it cost twice as much.
I was there on Saturday and its blatantly obvious that their stands are taller than ours. I sit on the back row at the KC (FF) which means there are 32 rows in the stand. On Saturday I was on row 28 which was only about 3/4 of the way up the stand, suggesting they have quite a few more rows than us. Also the way our corners are tapered means they don't actually add that many seats to our ground.
To be honest it didn't sound particularly loud on TV. Of course I realise that TV doesn't always convey the right impression as I have been to matches that seemed loud but didn't on TV and matches that seemed quiet but came across as loud on TV.
wow, not too bitter lads, probably the reason the atmosphere was poor is because you lot came, parked the bus and made it into a terrible game. You played for a point (like we did for many games under Pulis) and got what you deserved Nothing!. the worst team to come to the Brit this season by some distance. If you play like that every game then you are nailed on for relegation.
The fabled cauldron of noise becoming silent. That's everything to do with you own support? Does it matter who you're playing? Does it matter how the opposition play? If the "cauldron of noise" is genuine, it wouldn't matter "who" or "how" would it? Your fans are fickle, half are there purely because you're in the PL. Most teams have their PLWs, us included, but half of yours don't know what life was like prior to the PL. It was great for them initially, cheering on any old dross that Pulis served up, but after a few seasons the novelty has begun to wear thin & your PLWs have become silent based on the fact the club is happy to maintain the mediocrity it has achieved. They know it's going to be the "same old" for the next few seasons. No reasonable chance of breaking into the top 6 & not even the excitement of a relegation battle. The same old mid-table mediocrity. "Stale" is the word, club & supporters.
Id rather that than watching the dross Hull turn out, we are still the second loudest support in the prem this season, enjoy your relegation battle, ill just sit here with my pint thinking about our battle to get into Europe. Toodle pip
Your fans are fickle & PLWs. Your great support is a myth, half your fans are just fickle PL passengers. Your battle to get into Europe, via League position, is over, for this & future seasons. For excitement, the most you can wish for is a relegation battle, but your "oh so fickle" PL fans will turn their backs at first sight of the Championship. Stoke, **** hole, full of ****s. Not even a proper City. A conurbation of 5 scruffy towns. GTF, don't choke on your pint, you've oatcakes waiting for you at home.
Haha believe me Hull is by far a greater place than Stoke, by far. Stoke is a **** tip, no further discussion needed.
