Would have took a point before the game.

If we have any ambitions of the playoffs (which is a big ask), then the next 3 games against teams around us is massive. Would probably need 7 points just to keep the status quo. Anything less and we lose ground (and cancel my hotel).

    Back the bid.

Doc does all the graft brilliantly but in possession he has it in him to give it away easily, which he did a lot today. Wasn't the only one like, they were all as culpable.

But we know that about Doc. If he was good on the ball, he's a PL player and a lad who'd probably get 80-100 Scotland caps

It was a **** pass too. He underhit it and Connolly had to wait an age and then got under it. Right idea though

Good point. Just one of those games where it wouldn’t fall for us. I do hope Tetteh starts from the next game. It will make all the difference.

My twopeneth, although didn’t see game but had pleasure (??) of listening to Burnsy and Swanster! What did I learn....heard all about Burnsy talking about a certain “adult only” shop and Burnsy & Swanny spending Valentines night together over in Norwich. Yikes. Hopefully the conversation not related. Too much detail I know. So, to the game, from listening a hard slog, but welcome point. Before the game hoped for a win, but a point, clean sheet at Stoke, always a difficult place, not to be sniffed at. Thought before the subs we were on top, in control and likely to score, but subs totally disrupted our momentum, from then on in under the cosh. Sounded like Alfie Jones was pick of the bunch, playing a blinder.

Anyway, a well earned point, clean sheet, fantastic away support. Safe journey home to the travelling support. UTT.

Good question. As much as I rate him, I would say Slater. I’d also start Greaves.

Very good summary. Pretty much as it was. Commentary was maybe better than you thought.

Stoke manager Alex Neil told BBC Radio Stoke:

"I thought we started really brightly and were aggressive and went after them.

"But when we needed to make that final pass we got a bit messy.

"The second half was very even but with the pressure we had we didn't fashion any clear-cut chances, which is disappointing."

Hull head coach Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:

"I thought it was a really hard-fought game. Stoke gave us a lot of a respect and they tried to make it a scrap and a fight.

"They tried to take us out of our normal rhythm but we had the better chances and on another day, we win the game.

"You're seeing a team who are very difficult to beat, three clean sheets in a row, and I couldn't be happier with the mentality and spirit."

    2 wins and a draw , 3 clean sheets

I guess some people expected us to win every game when Liam took over
but it's very much a work in progress. I'm pretty confident we'll be very competitive
next season and have a realistic shot at promotion.

This season I'd expect us to finish 7th to 10th

It's interesting that Rosie has pointed out we are now a very difficult team to beat, when he took over we were shipping goals at an alarming rate, had the leakiest defence in the division and close to if not the worst goal difference in the league, far from it now, he has got them defending for their lives, and passionate to keep those clean sheets. Sound defence always gives you a fighting chance of 3 points.

I agree. It just depends whether our top players would be willing to give it another season. That’s my worry.

Stoke didn't give us respect they were in our faces, any team that's done that this season has made it very hard for us. The best teams for us are those with a weak midfield and no press.

It's a point away from home. I would have loved 3 and it wasn't a great performance but a points a point and we move onwards and upwards.

Ok, who'll be last on MOTD tonight, us or Blackpool/Rotherham? My money's on us.

If they're teams around us then 3 draws maintains the status quo. 5 points would likely see us rise.

It was very much a 'Stoke away in feb' kinda game. Tufan handled it well enough though - which was the question mark over Ozan from some, earlier in the season.
