Match Preview;
This Saturday we head up north, to another team chasing a playoff place...and doing a better job of it than us by a margin of 2 points. They sit 8th, on 40 points, and have won 3, lost 2 and drawn 1 in their last 6 league games. Their last result was a 1-0 win over league leaders, Coventry, in The FA cup, and before that they beat both Norwich and Hull in the league, so we head up to a team who have hit a good run. Their top scorer is their winger, Thomas Sorba with 9 goals so far. Their squad is a good balance of experienced and younger players, with the likes the Ben Gibson and Aaron Cresswell playing alongside younger players like Million Manhoef, Ashley Phillips and Lamine Cisse. Their manager, Mark Robbins, has now been at the club for over a year, and in that time has managed 52 games, won 20, drawn 13 and lost 19. That record is vastly improving this year, and he'll be hoping their current form continues and leads to a strong second half of the season and a playoff push.

As for us, the cup run isn't going to happen, so now we focus on the league. We've won 2, lost 2 and drawn 1 in our last five, and go into the New Year also in a good position to push on in the hope of finishing somewhere in or around the playoffs. I can't find any update on our top scorer, Rumarn Burrell, who currently has 10 league goals, but it was so encouraging to see Kone take his chance against West Ham, and increase his tally so far to 5 goals in 24 games, which isn't great considering his previous stats. I'm hopeful that he'll find his groove and start scoring a lot more, and as I've said before, building a partnership and understanding with Burrell could be key to this.

Manager comments on link below, enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

The Club reported last week that Burrell was not expected to return from injury until March.

Guess we will just about have a decent starting 11, however bench will be shocking. Got a horrible feeling about this game.

I too think we will be
1. Injured
2. Knackered
3. Emotionally down
4. Thinking that Tuesday might be a more winnable game

Hope we can keep the score decent

We're in pink after all..... that's fecking daft....

Same starting 11 as last week if I'm not mistaken.... bench a tad thin....
