Too many games like that since Jan. Surely MW has to take blame at some point!
Just listened to Warburton's post match interview and he completely and utterly throws the players under the bus, whilst dropping in that we looked better as soon as we changed formation.

Didn’t see the game or listen but going by stats & reports on here it really isn’t good enough, team selection says it all one up front in a game we have to win, one shot on goal & shots on goal in last few games has been like that apart from Huddersfield, Warbs is decent bloke but a feel we could do with a change & just to freshen up players & style of play as feel if he stays on nothing really will change

I would change my vote if I had more information.
Were there other factors at play to account for the dreadful drop in form eg big falling out between two key players etc.
If nothing like that operating and mostly down to player training, selection and match strategy / tactics then of course I'd change my vote.

Everyone on here wants us to do well mate, we just all have differing opinions on how it should be done. I respect all those who want Warbles to stay. Hes been our best gaffer for a while now. They may feel that he deserves another season or that he can change things around. I personally cant see it nor do i think he can take us any further, but thats just my opinion. The game is constantly evolving and i think we need a young manager with the ability to evolve with the modern game. With that comes a risk though. Do you gamble on someone or do you stay with someone who has stabalised the club, to an extent. The ambition has to start right from the top. There are rules we have to abide by, rules regarding FFP, which probably do more damage to clubs than before they were invented! Either way, whether we stick or twist with Warbles, a process of rebuilding starts again as players will move on, of that im certain.

There’s a lot of talk about improvement from last year - and of course that is always the expectation. Learn from your limitations, set in place improvements for the year ahead, implement them and reap the benefits. Aim is the expected improvement. Minimum is consistency with the previous year (without financial loss against the previous year).
Reality is that sometimes unexpected inputs affect your outputs.
That is where our injuries, our January decisions and some of our (forced?) tactical changes have cost us. Complete failure for me would have been to move back down to the bottom half of the table. The overall height of the reaction has been the time we have spent/enjoyed in the top six this season, and the expectation of sustainment; the sudden breakdown that has impacted our performance in the last quarter has surprised us all - everyone wants to have a singular answer, however it’s not always that simple and is an accumulation of issues (boardroom? backroom? changing room? data? physical? AFCON?).

I also don't think any of us are saying that any replacement for Warburton would be a definite success.
I just think, like you that he's taken us as far as he can and possibly back towards mid table by the end of the season.
It's obviously not all his fault but, in my opinion, too much of it is.
I am truly disappointed how this season has turned out. In previous seasons mid table mediocrity, away from any threat of relegation was the best we could have hoped for. But after such a brilliant first half the season, comfortably in the playoffs and even flirting with automatic promotion to see the wheels fall off in such dramatic fashion has really been a downer.

You'd be saying the same if he'd made wholesale changes and changed a winning side. Who out of the roughly 1 and a half fit players available would you have played? You can't be that desperate to see Jeff Hendrick can you?
I'd have played two forwards in 3-5-2, with Albert and McCallum as wing backs, plus Field, Dozzell and Amos in the midfield.

No. I just disagreed with your Sanderson comment. Think they are all trying.. I'd never seen Sanderson play RB before and as he turned out yesterday was ok defensive but never got forward. I think Warburton would have done better starting us as we finished more or less..Sanderson Dunne and Barbet a back 3, and Kakay / Albert at RWB as they both can get forward and get crosses in. Albert obviously better going forward but perhaps not fit enough to play 90 minutes. Only other difference for me was I wouldnt have played Thomas who for all his running never scores. I'd have played Gray up front with Dykes or Austin, subbing one for the other as he did. Midfield Field, Dozzell and Chair or Amos furthest forward of those 3. Hendrick hadn't trained properly since his hamstring injury, so was never going to start and unlikely to be used.
