Well what's the alternative, if there is no pressure from the fans what will happen, exactly the board and management will obviously think let's keep doing what we're doing there's no one complaining about it.Look at Newcastle it looks to me that the players got together to cover Pardews back after all the flak he got and I think a lot of Arsenal fans would be hoping for something similar.

I'm of the opinion that Wenger, the board and the players are striving to do better. I'm not opposed to a fan protest, I just don't think it will be the 'Eureka' moment for Wenger and the board that some seem to be making out it will be. I think they are well aware of the problems. I guess being responsible for putting them right is harder than shouting about putting them right.

Would anyone take Thierry Henry now as caretaker player manager till the end of the season?

Don't be silly, he's got zero managerial experience.

I think a lot of supporters have been brain washed by the fourth place trophy arguement and the fear factor of change, but the question I would ask is do Arsenal supporters actually realise how big this club is because I don't think a lot really do,so on that point look at the standard of some of the players we have that we are relying on for our first team and its clear they are not of the required standard that a club of this size should be using. There are clearly positions that every man and his dog know that urgently need filling but they never are.We used to have a team who along with being technically very good also had a big physical presence,we don't have that anymore and I think that's a big part of the problem.I also hear it being said that our opponents have great game plans when they beat us but I have to disagree with that also because we have become too easy to play against, there used to be a fear factor for teams coming to play the Arsenal, sadly those days are long gone.

Of course it will make a difference. What has more impact, being politely told by a colleague you're not doing well in a personal conversation, or being sat down by your boss in an official meeting and told to buck your ideas up?

That depends on the individual I think.

In our case the boss has said just keep doing what you have been doing that's all we want, end result stagnation,no progression.

I don't think the protest will be big enough to make a significant impact. Going on an even poor run and dropping out the top 4 would bring major change. As it goes, every other team is hopeless except Chelsea and City.

I agree the protest will be insignificant, however fans who want to protest should not be dissuaded or discouraged. I seem to recall last season, there were some fans protesting just before the City game, and it nearly got ugly with others saying they should put the anti wenger banners away. I think majority of fans are kind off indifferent at the moment (myself included), a bit like being stuck with a regime that quite clearly is not going anywhere, but could not really bothered to do anything to effect change.

Of course, any fan is free to protest if they think their club isn't go the right way. I think you're right, a lot of people are indifferent and us getting top 4s has kept people fairly pleased. But dropping out of top 4 would be something quite different. If there was any real danger of this then I can see Wenger panic buying straight away. He knows how important this is and dropping out of the Champions league would damage the prestige of the club.

Is this the worst fan feeling has been under Wenger?

I think people have been similarly peeved off in the past when we weren't doing so well. The FA cup in some way gave some false hope. We were suppose to kick on but instead went the other way, What it did give people, including me, is a reality check, confirmed some unpleasant truths.

When your being paid eight million per season putting things right is the least people should expect.

Of course. But I'm sure Wenger is trying his hardest to try and put things right though.

A fan protest will be for the fans, to vest some frustration and I completely understand why that would happen.

Personally I don't think it will make Wenger or the board do anything significantly different because of it though.

Well the least he can do is "try hard" when you're getting paid around £8m for doing it. What is plainly obvious is he isn't doing a good enough job. I just can't feel sympathy for anyone who gets paid a ludicrous sum of money and only wins one FA cup in 9 years.

The bottom line is if you're getting paid elite manger money, then he should return elite manager results. Getting beaten up by all your main rivals isn't quite doing it.

If a protest is big enough the club will pay attention. Simple. Want to suggest other, more effective paths for the fans to go down if you believe a protest won't make a difference?
