I wouldn't write Guidolin off yet. He's been put in a difficult position and since he arrived we have accumulated 17 points from 10 games (with the help of Curt!). Some of his decisions seem bizarre, but If he is with us next season it would be interesting to see what he does with a full pre-season and a budget at his disposal...................probably buy 11 centre halves
Our side consists af a mixture of old and new players that are not very good at working together. The older players try to play the traditional Swansea way while the rest are not use to it. We have some that are borderline premiership standard with the old hands trying their best to carry them through....Fitness levels have slipped this season and that is something that is vital at this level of football. There is so much wrong with the club atm that it is a miracle we look to be staying up so i hope to god Jenkins and the board can get back on track and do the right job that has seen us achieve some great things. We cannot afford not to reshape the squad for next season as this one is not good enough.......As for the managerial side then im all for getting a more experienced manager and assistant with premiership experience with Curtis backing up the managers staff. If we keep Mr G as the manager then i have a strong feeling it could be a major error of judgement....
Don't want to see anyone injured badly but Butland missing does help the swans and Wales, hope he gets back on his feet soon enough poor bloke.
Not sure it will be any benefit to Wales, they still have Hart and if he is not fit Fraser Foster who is IMHO better than Butland anyway.
Jon Walters , Buttland and now it appears Shawcross should all be missing for the game ....Breakout game for us I reckon. Hope the players and manager are all rowing in the same direction for this one .
There is an outside chance of us being in 11th place by the end of the weekend lefty , imagine ....and still , there will be unhappy people announcing our dilemma if it happened ....guarenteed. Every team above us to 11th have a very tough game this weekend .....not sure about anyone else frankly but I live in hope and confidence that growing pains are coming to an end ...cheers.
Stoke is also a very hard game and even with the injuries, if people think otherwise they are living in cloud cuckoo land. If we get a point there I will bite your hand off.
Sparkey has turned them into a very impressive outfit. A point here would be as good a result as any we've had this season.
See that Newcastle have now lost Elliott for the rest of the season (as well as Krul) - will have their 3rd choice goalie.
Normally a point away at any stage of the season is a good one but right now priceless .Strangely looking forward this game ,
Any away Premiership point is priceless in my book. I reckon a point on Saturday will guarantee us survival - bring it on
I always like optimism but Stoke always invariably us, even with their "new style" so I think it'll be 2-0.
