Stoke have a very good squad imo, I expect them to climb up the table now we've kickstarted their season for them. Bony is a top quality CF, their three behind (Arnautovic, Shaqiri, Afellay) are better than any of our options in that position, in fact their reserve (Bojan) is arguably better than any of our first team options there. Imbula is better than any of our CMs. Shawcross is better than any of our CBs. Butland is better than any of our GKs. Pieters is better than any of our LBs. IMO their squad is much stronger than ours.
I dont think we will be far off them end of season tbh. One or two of those players would walk into our squad if we were at full strength but they are all a bit up and down from what I have seen, Shaqiri is a good example on his day a match winner but those days do not seem to come around very often, same with Bojan and Afellay, lets face it that team yesterday would get us relegated no question about it, but we are missing one or two who could make a difference.
Them three are woeful. If we can't finish above them after 10 years of premier league finance and experience then we truly dint deserve to play at this level
Sometimes I find it strange how Sunderland supporters think when they say these teams are really woeful and are crap etc etc they are above us man what the hell does that say about us for gods sake.
Was their grass greener than ours as well? Blony chose them over us because he would be able to live in Manchester , Wilshere chose Bournemouth because he could live in London, otherwise who would have known.
Wilshere lives in Hertfordshire near me; I see him about sometimes, or used to. I've got a mate that lives in Bournemouth and I go down there sometimes. Its a good 3hrs away. There's no way he's doing that commute every morning with the traffic round here. He chose Bournemouth because they are a good side and well run club. Same with Bony and Stoke. We're not either of those things.
Hurrah we've drawn the last game of the season and stayed up on goal difference what a cracking season we've had can't wait for next season when we kick on Oh! just a minute.
Hull at home. It's a month away though. The Christmas period looks tricky though so if it isn't then it could be a while longer. If there's anything I've learned about Sunderland in the last few seasons its that things like "who the opposition are" haven't got a huge bearing on how well they play or what result they get. Not the easiest to predict.
