Sunderland's injury problems are mounting up - with Lamine Kone the latest doubt for the game at Stoke City. The Ivory Coast international is suffering from a tight hamstring and is a doubt for tomorrow's bottom-of-the-table Premier League clash.

Jason Denayer is also a major doubt for the game, as revealed earlier in the week.

The 21-year-old picked up the adductor muscle problem playing for Belgium's Under-21 side in Montenegro last Friday, coming off after just 33 minutes of the Under-21 European Championship qualifier.

Denayer has played in three out of the last four Premier League games for Sunderland.

Sunderland are also without Vito Mannone, Seb Larsson, Jan Kirchhoff, Lee Cattermole, Steven Pienaar and Adnan Januzaj for the game.

Not according to some sources mind - they could be fit!

I like how the article starts with the term "Mounting up" We've had a big injury list all season but only now it's mounting up?

Bad news indeed - good job we have a top keeper in Pickford behind - back 4 of Manquillo Djilobodji O'Shea PVA or
    McNair/Rodwell Djilobodji O'Shea with WB 's Manquillo & PVA
    Any other options ?

    We are a mess.

Stoke have every reason to be confident. I hope it turns to overconfidence and comes unstuck.

We really are. I am now thinking though that as thin as thead bare as the team/squad is we may pull this one off. Alternatively it's the beer making me think this way.

Had a dream about the match last night. We lost 3-2 but the good news is that I was playing for us and so was Dean Whitehead so there's a shred of hope that it wasn't an eerily accurate premonition.

Finding it hard to be confident about us at all at the minute, just can't see where a win will come from. I know we have injury problems but thats part of the game and it's no good crying about it, the fact is we don'the even look like winning so far this season even at 2 nil against palace you knew we were going to **** it up.
I know stoke have been poor so far this year but I still think they will beat us today, hope i'm wrong and we find a performance from somewhere today to get a result but I don't see us keeping a clean sheet and if defoe doesn't score then I don't see anyone else doing so.

Could this be the game where the Roswell stat is dispelled?

Probably the worst team that could be put out from the squad we have

Its just about the only team we could put out from who is available, away the lads.
More in hope than expectation, 0-1 massacre.

He owns the club though! He can't just "**** off" (not that I'm arguing your point - although I'm not quite sure how that goal is Ellis Shorts' fault!)

    Anyone got a decent link?

I think this year is the year his luck runs out. IMO this is the worst squad in the premier league, we are fast becoming the whipping boys of this league.
