Like I said last night, there are a few suggesting that the current style of football, may detract them from spending what is a lot of money on renewing their season tickets next season?

I don`t know where we would find an in-form striker in January, that would hit the ground running and score goals from the get-go. Such an individual either wouldn`t be available because of said form, or would likely go to another club with deeper pockets. It isn`t just a Shane or Jay issue - we need goals to be shared around the team more. For example, JWP needs to move on from being a youngster that takes a nice looking free-kick/corner for the cameras that seldom comes to anything, to producing more end-product.

I would ALWAYS* take a point away at Stoke, REGARDLESS* of the circumstances.

    * apart from when the opposition is playing with 10 men for an hour.

We did have a very good end to last season. Can you see us recreating the scoring we did last season with this squad? I can't.

The points total maybe the same as this time, but we were much stronger in attack, scored more and looked more confident as a team. Wasn't all sunshine & roses under Koeman, but he DID improve results and got strikers scoring. We will have to see if Puel does, but I can't see it with Long & Jay Rod. They HAVE to be replaced.

There are always a few people who say that, but it is a drop in the ocean compared to those who will renew. And I bet they are sitting in their same seats next season. Not that I don't agree on one level....I miss the exciting stuff too.

I think the problem is that we don't score goals (ok, I know, stick with me). This means that we can get beaten by the odd goal....therefore the team play determined that they will not concede that goal, which gives them even fewer chances to score goals. It's a cycle that repeats. If we never created any chances, I would be really worried, but the goals we are missing seem more like a fairies curse than a real problem. Things could turn round if Long and Jay really get their eyes in or stop walking under ladders. We are still a good side, but just lacking that true flair that we have had in the past seasons...this happens to most teams at some point. Certainly not calling for Puel's head (that is plainly ridiculous)....he has done a lot right this season when he wasn't dealt the best cards.

I am seriously expecting this to be my last season as a STH. It isn't just the ticket price but also the fuel, meals and the 6hour round trip, to watch what is pretty boring and tepid football.

I also dislike games on Sunday and very rarely can make the weeks games. All in all struggling to find a really strong reason to renew, although I will miss the people around me and the actual seat which is excellent

My number of attendances has been in a decline for a while...once you give up your season ticket, there are so many reasons (some petty) not to go. However, the main reason these days is the time of the matches. I like good old Saturday afternoon (as rare as dodos these days)...Sundays should be okay, but the match is then often on the TV. The final reason (which is wimpy) is that I don't have confidence that we won't lose by one goal. An end of season flourish and the signing of a Mane-type player and my attendance could pick up. :)

Yeah, I do understand that everyone's circumstances are different. It's the "either the results improve immediately or I'm off" attitude I was referring to. Not people who find the cost, travel, and sacrifice of time too much. Nothing wrong with being an armchair supporter, I have been one many times in the past and may well be again in yhe future <ok>

I'm not pissing me pants here this morning, because we created enough to win that game, we dominated & controlled it (as we should against ten). But we can't keep saying that. If we lose at B'mouth because we can't stick it away, the questioning will get louder.
If only Boufal had shot rather than passing to Jay, we'd be talking about something different this morning.

"We're disappointed". Again? Surely must be the most disappointed manager in football history.

We have an average of over thirty thousand at home games and seemingly treble that of experts in their living rooms,do you honestly expect everyone to post in agreement?

    Not meant as confrontational btw.
