Umm, I'm pretty sure I've seen this since I first started playing football. Can vividly remember a coach of mine when I could've been no older than about 10 shouting "SPLIT EM" to our CBs on a goalkick.
Well, I'd never seen it before. mind you as a long time Saints supporter, the very idea that defensive players were able to pass to one another would seem innovative
At that age I think it was more in the hope that the striker would be conned into thinking the keeper would pass to the centre back so if the keeper pea rolled his goalkick there wasn't a striker immediately there. But yeah I am pretty sure all through my footballing life there have been some coaches who wanted the centre backs wide on goal kicks. Might be mistaken and it has only been a more recent thing (I know the team I play with now do it)
no it has to be Trumps fault, he is blamed for all failures, disasters and lack of fire power in the Saints team and a goalkeeper who hangs on the line more than my old mums washing.
I blame those pesky kids, FF would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that darn Shaggy and his mate Scooby! And let's face whose idea was it to put Scrappy Doo in goal considering the kid is off his nut on Scooby snacks half the time? FF has to go! Lol
