I thought we took the allocation of just over 2000? Not particularly surprising though we don't tend to travel thar well up north.
They'll be 2,300 of us at Stoke. They only give more now due to them filling that corner in . 2,300 is a decent enough following, I mean who really wants to go to Stoke away hardly a glamorous away day is it, not even a decent night out after.
Nothing startling in the press conference. VVD getting closer. Captain has to deserve it, but he wouldn't be drawn on whether Virgil will get the armband back. Have to be careful when listening to someone whose first language isn't English....I think the reporters assumed that he was implying that Virgil doesn't deserve it, but I think he was talking about every player needs to show leadership and earn the right to be leader. No injury worries. We will have 50% of team away on international duty. He pointed out how hard it is to score at this level...pointing out that United with all their quality players only scored once against us. Talked about how 8/9 teams in the EPL occupy the centre positions with only a few points separating them....said that Stoke and Southampton are about the same.
I live just south of Chilworth, but north enough that, from a constituency perspective, I live in Romsey. Go figure.
As the dove flies we are the furthest EPL team away from Stoke ... except Bournemouth So I assume you're not in England I'm surprised any away fans go, if you get a stiff westerly then you could freeze to death in the away corner Rained as well when I was last there and my mate who had been deriding the ground for having no corners was in the end seat where the wind & rain was coming in through the big hole Sorry No
Qwerty is in Newcastle I believe. So you're right it's basically Scotland As for the bottom paragraph I'm going and can't ****ing wait! Could even say I'm stoked
We had an allocation of 2300 for Stoke and it looks like we have sold them all bar about 80, so not too bad. I think we sold out at Huddersfield and Palace and we have already sold our 3000 allocation for Brighton. The demand for away tickets is still there at the moment, I just think that Stoke isn't very appealing. That's why I'm not going anyway. Oh and I forgot to mention Referee is Mike Jones and 4th Official is Bobby Madley. Useless aided by ****ing useless..
Good luck with the weather btw best place to drink up there impo is the Rugby club down the Industrial estate rd to the south Good beer good crowd and i seem to remember good scragg after the game
Both mark "the twat" lawrenson and Paul "11 IQ" merson have us down to lose so it should be smiles all round for us come 6pm Saturday.
Southampton to Stoke 148 miles Berwick-upon-Tweed (still in England) to Stoke 192 miles Up North goes a long, long way. And no-one from daaahn saaarf knows owt about it. And on football, 0-2 - we'll not concede and someone will work out why Gabbi's on the pitch Vin
Cheers mate I've read elsewhere that the rugby club good for both parking and drinking I'll be sure to tell my mate who's offered to drive as I drove to Palace... Not really a fair comparison in my eyes but not complaining
https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017...llegrino-pre-stoke-southampton-premier-league Mauricio talking to the written press. He met the new owner who was pleased with the game and talked about playing a couple of games in China. When asked if VVD was ready for Saturday, he said that if he puts someone on the bench they are ready, but he picks the team for the particular match. A journalist asked if he felt that Virgil had wasted time in the summer and delayed his return to fitness...he replied that everyone can learn from the past...even Virgil.
Nice to see the academy players in amongst the main squad. Who's the oriental guy in pictures 2 and 3?
