Yeah the analytics show exactly who enjoys posting when the team have a bad result - some people seem to revel in it
Very true that having lost Mundle/Tommy is a double impact as it restricts Cirks. Some good news on Mundle would be amazing. Could AA and Cirks do some work in training? AA has the touches and the ability for quick movements that work with Cirks. We’ve still only lost 4, we still a ****ing quality side given we fighting 3 that came down. Best of the rest with our youth is phenomenal and we’ve beaten Burnley, drew with Leeds and completely outplayed Sheffield United. We must remember this we are miniscule amounts away from top sides.
I know all teams have injuries but we've lost real morale boosting players ... Mundle and Watson are real game changers and I'd love to see them with Aouchiche really going at the opposition. That would be quite a press.
Almost as if they've been patiently waiting for their chance to pounce ... ... tell-tale phrases are 'luck run out', 'papering over the cracks' and 'lack of ambition'. Whatever the case it's clear the club will do things their way and we'll just have to live with it. As every other scheme and 'magic carpet ride' has failed I'm happy to go along with this.
Games coming so fast over this period was always going to cause us issues ,we’ve had a long injury list, some key players in that as well. on another day we would have won that game by 3 or 4 .The team papering over cracks is Stoke they are in real trouble and stealing a game doesn't change that .
Sunderland's Adil Aouchiche January transfer stance https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/24822474.sunderlands-adil-aouchiche-january-transfer-stance/ By Dominic Shaw ADIL Aouchiche's Sunderland future remains uncertain ahead of the January transfer window, despite the forward returning to the first team fold in recent weeks. Aouchiche only made one substitute appearance in the first three months of the season and was regularly left out of Sunderland's matchday squads. But with the Black Cats suffering a string of injury setbacks to attackers in recent weeks, opportunities have come the way of Aouchiche, who has impressed Le Bris and his Sunderland teammates with the way he's dealt with his lack of action so far this season.... "With Adil, I think it is too early to say what will happen in January," said Sunderland's head coach. "A season is full of many experiences. You can start with an idea but with the evolution of the season, you can change your assessment of the situation. It is probably too early to decide and we'll see how we can build this second half of the season." Summer signing Milan Aleksic also made his first Sunderland start of the season at the bet365 Stadium, replacing the injured Chris Rigg in midfield. Le Bris said: "We needed players on the pitch! They deserved to play this game because they have been connected in the training sessions and this was their opportunity. "It is good to have them and their mindset is positive. They were ready to play and I think that they showed many things, many positive things. It's another experience for them and it's good for us as a team to have them." Stoke ended a nine-game winless run to beat the Black Cats, with interim manager Ryan Shawcross getting a tune out of the Potters players after Narcis Pelach was sacked as manager on Friday. Le Bris said: "They reacted well. The fans were very connected with the team. Probably if we scored the dynamic would have been more fragile but because of the score, they stayed alive and maybe for them it could be a positive trigger for their dynamic."
We’ve got at best the 6th biggest budget in the league (more likely lower) and we’re maintaining an automatic promotion challenge into the second half of the season. That is objectively an excellent performance by the club
Apologies if I’ve missed it, but is there any update on Mundle and Browne? We were told it would be 8 weeks back when they got injured and by my maths that takes us to next weekend…
It's a shame you never saw the match yesterday. Considering the injuries etc., and having to field a team from what was available rather than our first choice, we played well. They kept their heads up until the end of the match and were determined to try and win it. It's a shame we didn't put away the chances we had and the conceding goal at the end was sickening. Overall they played well though.
Monty loves it when we lose, he is happy as a pig in **** when he can come on here and tell everyone how **** the team is and how everyone should be sacked, sold and moved on! He is under the belief we have a right to be winning everywhere cause we are Sunderland! He even asked once would Mbappe sign for us if we put a loan package together
What you all seem not to understand is he can write but he can’t read, so don’t expect a reply anytime soon
