Pottermouth- Personally i thought we were found out alot more toward the end of last season, it was probably why a move away was on the cards for Brenden IMO, there are still many teams that know how we play but struggle to maybe impliment the correct stratagy against us, a well drilled team like stoke, everton, newcastle etc will find it easier to combat our style as they close down in numbers, maybe more teams will try to do this but TBH it hasent really been a secret!!

Laudrup is trying to give teams something to think about other than our posession game, he is trying something a bit different, my own view here is that he tried a different method against you and everton knowing that those very teams had our number last year anyway.

I expect him to revert to a more keep ball system against reading and wigan. Injurys have disrupted us to a certain extent as well, its been more difficult to impliment and gain understanding with quite a bit of chopping and changing going on, couple that with a chunk of new signings and regular guys like Sinclair,Allen, caulker and siggy not being here and you are bound to get inconsistant results.

Stoke did the job on us,im not too worried about that as in fairness to you guys you have been building a strong team over the last few years, you are a handful for the best sides at the britainia never mind a team that is still basically punching above its weight in the prem league!

Saturday will tell us alot, its a massive game and a real test of where we are under Laudrup.Reading are a team on our level in terms of experience and personell, stoke and everton are hardened prem performers that we will always struggle to overcome purely on a physical level.

Found out?? think we always have been, its just that some teams can carry out tactics to nulify us better than others <ok>

Potter, I don't think we will ever play the long ball game. We are not physically equipped to do it and it's not in our psyche. We always have and always will be a footballing side because the fans will not have it any other way.

Right now we are in a transitional period. We have a new manager and new players. Laudrup has rightly identified that we need to add a cutting edge to our passing game but the players are having to adapt to that style; and not only that they are having to adapt to each other as well. Not easy.

MOTD pundits in particular repeatedly emphasised that it takes years to develop this style and play it successfully. They are right. Our problem has been that we lost a hugely influential midfielder in Allen and it will take time for the new guys to generate a similar understanding. However, when they do, I believe as a team we will take some stopping. So far, their performances have been moderate but they have undoubted quality and I have high expectations when they do start to get it right.

Dai, because my view differs from yours doesn't make it rubbish. If you are trying to say that missing players doesn't make a difference then I'm not even going to bother to debate the issue with you. A complete waste of my time. Have you ever played this game?

Ivor, think yourself lucky he did`nt call you an idiot or some other pearl of wisdom that emanates from his gob, sorry keyboard. Dai knows everything (and more) that there is to know about football, after all he`s been playing & following the Swans for a tad over 100 years ................. FACT. That was before he signed on for the Liver Birds just so he could follow the messiah and listen to his gospels. Magnificent.

Idiots unite! If you're happy to be an idiot and you know it clap your hands. <applause>

Perhaps Dai bumped into BR in Marks one day and was proclaimed "fantastic" .... He's been blarney'd - no known cure, like heroine addiction, he just can't get enough .... That's why he secretly wears Liverpool under garments, craves MOTD highlights, and FACT has even subscribed to Liverpool Player.

Rumor has it that a contract has already been agreed in advance of the next transfer window to take Dai to Anfield as the chief turnstile operator at the Kop end. HJ however is standing firm as the release clause in Dai's long suffering contract is a pack of Polos and and a new box of tea bags for the concessions under the East Stand, but the Americans think one tea bag will do and keep offering us a shirt!?! <doh>

think about what im saying before jumping down my throat......I said it does not matter who is missing and who plays the system we have been playing that has got us to where we are is missing and the results are showing that...we have changed and got worse every game because whatever laudrup is trying to do has spoiled our rhythm and the confidence in the team who ever is selected is not there.....there are plenty who have commented in the media that are saying the same thing....missing players has nothing to do with it....<ok>

Dai missing Joe, Taylor, and Caulker has everything to do with it, not to mention Siggy! What I would give for a Ferrie Bodde in his prime right now!.....<ok>

    Thanks for the replies fella's..
And, I managed to catch all but the first 5 mins of your game today vs Reading. Honest oppinion from me is simple. "Play like you did today, especially 2nd half. You could easily finish in the top half. Pulis is "slowly but surly" trying to change the way we play. Especially away from home, so far so good.

Stick with M.L. and support the guy. I'm sure listening to his interviews he knows what he's doing and he will get it right.
