Yep.....sell out. Great to have Gills (so far) best ever manager come back AND a very good chance of a result, as well as the income. Nice one ....UTG
I have to say I absolutely LOVE this article. It cheers me up when days are dull. I couldn't believe it when I first read it that after 7 years he still held a grudge, shows we did our job, wonder if he still does? I think a local paper should try to interview him before the game and get his thoughts. Lol. I hope Pulis gets the reception he deserves and crouch for that matter too (althought that would be 2 of the most opposite receptions imaginable). I'd love to see this televised but 2 televised matches in as many months? Doubt it'll happen but you never know. I wonder if Scally will be at the match? No need for any pyrotechnics if he is. http://www.gillsconnect.com/s/Gills...HAIRMAN_PAUL_SCALLYS_UNGRACIOUS_OUTBURST.html I remember some great matches against Stoke too. The playoff semi finals in 2000 (that was taken very well by their fans at the time) and the final home game of the season the year before (I think) we won 4-1 and Butters missed a penalty. Asaba spent the match showboating and laughing at the Stoke defenders. UTG Also any one up for a chorus of "Adrian Pennock, football genius"? As he's part of the back room staff along with Mark O'Connor. And will we see Big Mama Sidibe?
The grudge will not go away. On Radio Kent, immediately after the cup draw Mr. Scally referred to Tony Pulis as an ' ex manager ' rather than by name. I would be amazed if Pulis did not get a great reception from the Gills fans. Mr. Scally will be there - I hope it doesn't make him sick over all the money from the game when he hears us greet our ex manager.
Looking forward to this one, will be great to see Pulis back and Adrian Pennock back at Priestfield. I feel Crouch will not be looking forward to it. Here is another link to his artical regarding Gills fans. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article422672.ece UTG!!
Always Right, the grudge comment was about Crouch. Not Pulis or Scally. As for the Manchester Derby, my God any one picking up a paper would think is was the only game in the 3rd round. Everton vs Tamworth would be the stuff the FA cup is made of. I think Arsenal Leeds could be a good game also. I do think there is enough story behind us and Stoke but i'm not expecting it. How many Games do they usually show? 4 or 5 isn't it?
ESPN said after the televised game on Sunday, that there would be three televised 3nd round games.I don't know if they included the ITV game in that or not
Yes, I know what the Guardian report contained. My reference to 'grudge' was to the manner in which Mr.Scally referred to Tony Pulis as an " ex manager " at a point in the interview when ( in my opinion ) the interviewer was trying to get Mr.Scally to say ' Mr / Tony Pulis .' I don't have a problem with the fact that Mr.Scally may have personal / and or business issues with Mr.Pulis - I just think that Mr. Scally could have sounded better. I also hope that Mr. Scally can channel any aggression (fairly) through the players on the day.
Sorry Alwaysright I just feel that the way you've presented my quote and then commented on it, that you've taken what I wrote out of context, almost like a "REAL" journalist. LOL. Do you work for the Sun or the the Star?
no problems to answer your question look at my profile ! ps my username is in lower case - because I am sure that one day there'll be somebody out there who is more right than me - and can use the upper case version.
