Agree.. we must first focus on the Chelski game. Will be tough to plan for, with players likely to be rested in certain positions as our game is sandwiched between Barca and the FA Cup final. It will be as tough as any other of our last nine games have been. I'm sure we'll be up for it and looking to come away with something from the game. Here we go again...
This coming from the man who absolutely insisted we'd finish 8th - before and after our first set of transfers came in! Precisely my reason for abstaining back then. Oh no, sorry that was TBGWTDT...
Reasons to be optimistic - Stoke will put everything into every game but they have very low possession stats which means they will be tired at the end of the season. They don't have any real reason to play for (in conventional terms). Reasons to be cautious - they do still fight for everything and their playing style will be a test that our (recently) resilient home form has not been exposed to. Each place in the Prem is worth 0.5 Million and there is a huge amount of teams covered by a few points (if someone said we'd be 12 points behind Liverpool at this stage then I'll have delightfully assumed we were safe) - I'd fight for 0.5M. I'm sure MH is instilling the mentality of each game is worth a proper go and to concentrate on the next one. Personally, I'll start will Bolton's game tomorrow instead....
Sparky will have to pick another tactic from the book against Stoke. I reckon our best bet would be all out attack as Stoke can ship goals, put Zamora and Cisse up front and go all out for the win. Sitting back like we have done at home recently might backfire. I don't think you would get great odds on the game finishing with all 22 players on the pitch!!
You should know you are a founder member of the fickle club on here ... Realistic my arse... I have read, watched and recorded people change with the bloody weather on here. It is no wonder that many swing as they have ... simply because of the nature of my season. But the truth is that this forum has been full of fickle in the past so to dismiss it as bollocks raises my QPR blood to boiling point. All QPR brothers i accept but some should hang there heads and in life I am willing to bet suffer from the invisible sickness .. the one that most doesn't even know exists.
I changed my identity to expose the direct opposite of optimism and adopt the ways of the fickle... who imo change like the wind. we didn't finish 8th so i was wrong yet i am the only one who got the divisional split right and its still all open for anyone to grab 8th. i don't need to ever defend myself on here as underneath i have been pretty much solid and will continue to do so.
Ask the fickle where the 16 points (currently) difference went? 6 at bolton 6 at norwich 6 at sunderland... is 18 for a start roll on the post mortem
What the hell difference does that make? Sorry Oddball, don't even attempt to try and square your "I said 8th, we're 17th but that's the same" circle. You'll just make yourself out to be a sore loser.
not at all and we are 16th i was totally incorrect in my prediction way off the mark it seems and i congratulate those who were correct that we would all be ****ting ourselves at the moment that we may go down... to be totally fair i love QPR as its not a predictable machine and long may it remain so. I still think that maybe a few teams above us could get a massive points reduction so 8th is still on!
Fair balls to ye Odders. I was just tryin' to make ye squirm . To be fair, I was all over the place with my crystal ball. Start of season I said 19th, after Tony came in I said 14th-16th and God knows what I said when Sparky came in. Probably 10th or summat. One things for certain. If we stay up this year, then next year we'll be nicely up table somewhere.
Stoke have 1 win in 8 and that was against wolves. Their last away win was Jan 2nd against Blackburn. This is a golden chance for 3 points.
Anyone who doesnt change their mind on the table is an idiot. Blackburn were 6 points clear, any level head person would think they should be safe. Now they need a result at Spurs or Chelsea, any sane fan would think they are down. Its just going by percentages. Dont forget he was saying dont count wolves out only days ago. Same goes for Citeh and Utd fans and even the manager, didnt Mancini concede the title? You can bet hes not saying that now.
No, no Flyer!!!! According to our resident nutter, anyone who uses some football knowledge, assesses changing situations and changes their mind accordingly is....what's his buzz word?.......Oh yeah.....Fickle!
Can't argue with that lads ... happy to take the pepsi challenge with you two on footballing matters anytime. You can count Wolves out now they are relegated ? Care to state if they have won their last point this season?
Impossible to say mate. Traditionally relegated teams can be dangerous as they're totally relaxed and playing with no pressure. Wouldn't be surprised to see them play much better now.
well said its a very strange thing ... doncaster being the latest to add weight to that ... coventry having to win at home ... they were thrashed by all accounts and i honestly thought wolves knocked it around well against city until the second goal .. just they have no teeth, no goals what chance of winning a football match?
