It got me thinking, and pondering whether this season is 1991-92 all over again,
with Leicester / Spurs playing the Leeds / Man Utd roles respectively.

Great team but not sure I agree on a few of the selections.
Firstly Rose wins hands-down over Assou-Ekotto, probably on ability, certainly on attitude.
Van der Vaart vs Alli is such a close call. VdV is one of my favourite ever Spurs players, but Alli has potential to be better, and is certainly better on the energy front.
I'd also probably take Eriksen over Lennon and switch Bale out to the right where he scored his best goals from cutting inside.

WY - When Rose has performed at the top level for us for 4/5 years, not dived, slagged off a fellow professional and consistently defended at PL/CL level, then I would agree with you. Until then I will go with the team quoted. But opinions is wot this site's all about 
Benny wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but despite his 'pragmatic' views of being a professional footballer, he always had Spurs (and Tottenham itself) at his heart. And was a bloody good FB!

Btw, the original article that's taken from is absolute shyte. Says Corluka was really a centre back, and gets slowly worse from there.

For a player who has had an outstanding season, this is a ridiculous appraisal, imo.

You're welcome to your opinion and me to mine.
Rose has had a much better season, but is still by no means a finished article as his defensive work is lacking. But it's still only ONE decent season from a supposedly established first teamer, so not sure where the 'ridiculous' aspect comes in to my appraisal.
And now the failings ...
1. You tempt fate with a single decent striker only in your squad.
2. There is a big gap in quality between 1st and 2nd XI in the squad for DM/CM.
3. Youth is good, but you need old hands to calm young heads.
The past 4 games have shown this brutally.

The squad needs a bit of streamlining and some quality in a few positions.
Competition for Dier and Dembele are a must, a couple of strikers and a centre-half are next on the agenda.
We need to have the possibility for players like Onomah to come through, though. It's tricky.

Have been busy today, didn't watch the game or follow on here, and I don't plan on watching the game or reading today's posts at any point!
I'm absolutely furious about how the season ended, but that shouldn't take away from what was been our best season in a very long time with a young group. We are continuing to move in the right direction, just at a much slower pace than most of us would like.
Having said that, I don't plan on being on here at all in the next few weeks so just want to say hope you all have a good one and chat to you in August, expecting big things next year
