http://videocelts.com/2012/07/blogs/spl-plan-no-concessions-to-sfl-in-reconstruction-talks Who knows what they will try. http://videocelts.com/2012/07/blogs/sfl-clubs-will-be-denied-vote-on-sevco-first-division-place
Doncaster and Regan backed up by campbell Og did their utmost to make sure the fraudsters played in the Spl season 2012/2013. Thanks to the honesty and integrity of the fans they failed even though it is alleged that Campbell Og used some of the EBT he got from Rangers in order to sway some votes. They now feel they can try to act undemocratically to get Rangers back into SPL as soon as possible. I believe they should be careful for what they wish for because Sevco have not the money to sustain a team in Div 1, trying to get promoted. Further shame will be put on them all when they return to administration within the year. C. Green won't be too upset for he will have made sure he will be o/k and will disappear back to England.
Looks like the so called powers that be will go to any lengths to get the best deal possible for their beloved sevco A number of SPL chairman said after last tuesdays meeting that they felt they were being bullied and intimidated into voting on a problem that was not of their making. If the leaked info above is true then surely the SPL chairmen who feel they are being bullied etc could either abstain or vote against proposals one and two, and vote yes on number three. This would allow them to put the ball back in the court of the people behind the proposals saying....we feel that we can not pass a yes vote on points one and two without knowing the financial facts/stability etc regarding the background of the newco applicants. In other words do they meet the criteria of being a fit and proper organisation. With everything that's gone on since february and the SPL clubs overwhelmingly rejecting newco last week why should it fall on the SFL clubs to decide the outcome of this fiasco. Pass it back to the bawless ones and let them take the flak.
I noticed that Ballantyne, in his role as chairman at Airdrie stated that he would abstain from casting a vote in the SFL/Newco ballot due to a conflict of interests, ie, airdrie would benefit with regard to promotion should sevco be placed in the third. Interestingly , he is also on the SFL board which will be taking steps to "negotiate" sevcos entry straight into division one should they be voted SFL membership. I wonder if he will likewise abstain due to a conflict of interests given that he holds shares in "rangers"...or will the convenient fudge between sevco/old rangers be used to justify him helping out his real team ? Mick, can I get odds on being able to call Ballantyne a rangers-loving hypocrite without risk of being sued ?
The SFL are voting on Friday. If they vote NO to Div1 then an SPL2 will be created with Rangers and teams from the SFL by invitation.
Dunno. But you would think that very thought has crossed the minds of the SFL club chairmen. It's a ****ed up state of affairs.
unless its application to join sfl and into division three - despite lacking the prerequisite audited accounts - sevco united will forever be the pitiable junkie **** up , sucking on the ameliorating tit of the footballing equivalent of a methadone programme.
Let sevco rot in non league until they meet the basic requirements. If nothing else by then they will have shed the low life that followed the old Rangers like a plague and Sevco's fanbase will become more like a normal fan base.
