this is taking the piss now!
30th may 2012: "Oxford have rejected an undisclosed bid from League Two rivals Bristol Rovers for striker James Constable" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18272986
7th june 2012: "Oxford United have turned down a second bid from Bristol Rovers for striker James Constable" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18358702
15th june 2012: "James Constable still Bristol Rovers target, says Mark McGhee" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18439858
no offers made (nothing out in the open anyway) for other strikers.
11th august 2012: "We are still trying to persuade Oxford to sell Jamie Constable to us and I think a decision will be taken, one way or another, this week. If they reject what we have offered now, then we will probably move on and bring in someone else" http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/manager-on-coventry-307614.aspx
obviously mcghee been waiting and waiting for carayol to go and zebroski to free up more funds for a striker who scored just 11 goals in 43 games last season at league 2 level. cant believe mcghee has spent from the end of may to middle of august (by the time a decision will be made) trying to buy just 1 player is a piss take. sorry but it is. the guy aint even that good in my opinion! could of got better in and cheaper by now who could of already formed a partnership in pre season.
im not impressed at all. i like mcghee but he is currently giving me reasons not to and if he carries on this why i can see a lot more thinking like me.
