Pre-season our odds for promotion were far too narrow, but those for "dark horse" Burnley jumped out, so I wagered $3.00 on them (just play money to keep my Bet365 account active), so an "each way" bet.

    Bet Details Date/Time Stake Return

    Burnley @ 14/1 (promotion)
    $2.00 Single 06/30/2013 2.00

    Burnley @ 50/1 (champions)
    $1.00 Single 06/29/2013 1.00

    Total for this period 3.00

Thanks Sku. I agreee with most of that. Barton MOM for me as he was all over clearing up and setting up. Kransjar our 2nd best as he looked the most likely to create something, many great passes. Defensively we had a bad day, due mainly to Arry playing without a defensive CM leaving them without a lot of cover, and also to BAE having a mare. Dunne scored the goal of the game and a contender for goal of the season, but looked a bit off the pace on key occasions. I din't think Ned looks especially comfortable whether he plays RB or CB, I think it's his manner, but he gets the job done with his strength, speed and fight. I'm not convinced at all that he's a better CB than RB, but reckon Arry should play him at CB with Clint or Dunne against the strike forces with some zip about them like Burnley and Leicester at least, if this Hughes from Fulham is decent at RB. We missed crosses from Philips yesterday, I think we may have scored more without his injury, and though Doyle seemed to fade out the game, the lack of decent balls into the box didn't help him.

I was going to add this to my original summary - as I observed it too. Nedum Onuaha reminds me of a young Rio Ferdinand when he was at West Ham United - who used to do exactly the same - win the ball, travel with it out of defence, then find himself in midfield without an obvious outlet ball and go from looking totally composed to spooked all in a few seconds.

Perhaps this is an area the coaches can work on with him - practice spotting an out ball to a team mate at the same time as he's ghosting past the opposition's attacking midfielder into space. He can then lay it off and get back in position.
