Should Rodgers Remain as Manager?

  1. Yes

  2. No

  3. We should replace him with a rather rotund hamster

That was a typo but still relevant. I meant to type Simeone.

You were right the first time.

Well I've woken up and he's still there!

I wonder what it would take for FSG to sack him.

I think the silence from over there is deafening. they didn't turn up to really celebrate the expansion so I get the feeling they know the score and don't want awkward questions.

I feel they won't sack him till about march as soonest.

My only consolation is i said there was a scenario where i could see him get the sack... however i didn't think it'd be this bad.

I remember how long it took for the last lot to get rid of Roy. It took ages!!

I wonder if FSG are more ruthless.

They never say much do they? I bet they're working behind the scenes on potential replacements.

Pretty ruthless with Kenny so I think if they want BR gone then he will be gone.

I genuinely don't know how I feel on it all right now - I wouldn't be shocked to lose to Utd and he's gone the next morning but who the **** comes in!?

    Yeah that is the problem.

I can't think of someone else who is better?

We limp to January, get Studge back and invest and we could look a lot better, and talks of Rodgers could die down.

Its just inexcusable the money we have spent.

They have spoken more in the past and visited by those have got less and less frankly.

however... looking at john henry's twitter... well nothing on there at all since october so it seems to me with baseball in the off season the guy is paying no attention to anything.

however hodgson decision was one that was difficult for them as they knew nothing and only took over 2 month before and were... what do we do.

they took dalglish over to boston after the fa cup final and sacked him.

for me they need to make a decision here.

    Who is better?

    my view is this;

    1. the dressing room doesn't believe. ergo anyone is better

    2. The structure doesn't work. its time to change.

    3. rodgers is floundering, seemingly picking lads at random giving them half a go them dropping them. no continuity, no form being built.

    4. the transfers are a sackable offense

    5. if you PAY they will come. is it a case of being cheap or what? rodgers is on lowish money for a top manager. you could pay 3 times his salary and attract a lot of senior foreign coaches... but they don't come for no project.

    this will not occur.

I am predicting a 0-3 to utd with no lfc scorer this weekend on IBWT's thread but rodgers won't be sacked after it.

Not so sure, I don't think it's 100% and FSG might think 'we haven't spent millions and millions to be out the CL at the first hurdle and bottom half mid December'

I think Rodgers has been a little unlucky with certain things this season but as you said above, the money spent is inexcusable and the chopping and changing every week no matter how you've played is ****ing pissing me off now.

Anyone know why Toure didn't make the squad last night? Injury? Tiredness?

That said, I didn't think the defence was our problem last night.

Its almost clear now that the owners have little to no intention to let BR spend in Jan, I wont hold my breath for any new arrivals and if we do get anyone it'll be One who is relatively cheap. So thats the investing almost certainly out the window.
Sturridge, are we all expecting him to come straight back early/mid Jan and be firing straight away? He's been out for 3 months (4 when he's expected back). Its going to take him time to recover, I should think late Feb Early March before he's fully match fit by which time the season will be 3/4 done and even then there is no guarantee he be the same as last season.

Might as well face it, the dross at the club is what we have to settle for and performance will stay the same unless someone can actually get them playing.

    Good post.

Your last point being key really.

He's spent loads on players and now its time to do what he's paid to do!

He has to pick on form and leave them there for a bit.

Some of the guys are probably worried about getting dropped so do not feel they can really go for us, and are playing the safer, less risky options on the field. Flip side of that some are too comfortable - Johnson and perhaps Gerrard.

How are you meant to adapt to a new team with one game every now and then, or 30 mins here and there?

He needs to have some faith in the people he bought!

If he really thinks they're all pants then he should step down and admit it hasn't worked out and that he cannot get a tune from what he has.

I am not happy with Rodgers at all. But at the same time who would replace him? And I am still hoping (deluding myself?) that this is a blip and we will get better.

A new manager means another ****ing 5 year transition, I can't be doing with that again!!

Looking at this squad I'd say it'll be another 25 years of transition before we get anywhere, whoever's in charge <doh>
