No Entry And with that over a glass of Hunter Valley Shiraz in the lounge at Sydney Airport - chocks away I'm on my wayATB
Apple Pie Hurrah !! You are back online, anti How is your UK holiday going so far ? Shame you can't get down for the Pompey v Saints cup clash on 24 September - we could have met up for a pre-match drink
Apple Charlotte Hey Woopert - yes back from travel on the back roads tour - just getting sorted to go up to The Oval for todays play with 'er indoors. Promises to be a fine day with no rain so we should be able to watch Smudger bat all bleedin' day with much rejoicing from the antipodean rabble gathered. Sunday off to Wales until the Wednesday then its family family and more family until our departure on 30/9 - would have been rather splendid to have caught up down at your ground but I gather tickets are as scarce as rocking horse sh*t - so its the 9.12 from Leatherhead to Vauxhall for todays events will be back tomorrow ATB
Charlotte Church Hi anti Couldn't get a Wifi signal last night where we stayed in Totnes, Devon Now down in Dartmouth, and got a signal ! Pleased your holiday tour was enjoyable. See Smithy only scored 80 runs, and is blaming it on having flu !! I begrudgingly admit that he is a brilliant batsman (with or without sandpaper !). Hope we can win and level the series - even if we have lost the Ashes. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. All the best !!
Church Warden Greetings Woopert - back from South West Wales and residing in Leatherhead - off out to lunch with my brother today - the weather has been glorious these past few days but I think it goes tits up from Sunday but hey ho make hay etc Went to the Oval on Friday 13th and saw England Bat and Bowl and Australia bat and bowl so a comprehensive day all told. On explaining to the high command that Australia had not won the Ashes but retained them but England had won the world cup leaving her to ponder that Australia won nothing as the series was tied 2-2. So now travels have ended and we remain in Surrey until 30/9 when we fly out - the Sunday planned BBQ looks shabby so alternate plans are being made for the family gathering. Cheers for now and will be back on daily posts as of 2/10 - Cheers and ATB
Prison Warden We are still down in Devon at the moment, where the weather has been glorious ! We return home on Saturday. Bit concerned about the "South Coast Derby" next Tuesday, as Pompey have been struggling to find consistent form so far this season. We are really missing centre half Matt Clarke, who hasn't been adequately replaced to my mind. Oh well, what will be, will be
Traffic Warden HI Woopert - you haven been lucky with the weather its been a glorious week but apparently its all going TU on Sunday so the family BBQ has been cancelled and its an inside day with a curry or a hotpot for those not curry minded. After last nights 1st half performance I wouldn't be too pessimistic about Tuesday and the second half WP should have had a couple it will be interesting to see the team we put on the paddock - safe travels ATB
