Pompey know all there is to know about the never-never! Or should I say, the "never-ever"? No, I didn't lend Pompey any money. T'was just a joke for SB3s benefit.
According to the Independent newspaper, former Stoke and Southampton defender Danny Higginbotham claims in his autobiography 'Rise of the Underdog - My Life Inside Football', that England's 2003 World Cup-winning coach Sir Clive Woodward asked one of the masseurs the offside rule when he took over as performance director at Southampton. Respect to the Masseur for understanding it
Was this another one of those Andy Grey 'women don't know the offside rule thing' if the massuer was female?
According to the 'Metro' paper: Austria Vienna's mascot Super Leo the lion allegedly turned up to a match drunk, and consequently fell over on the pitch before trying to fall asleep. That's a lesson for Nelson the dog to bear in mind for next season at Fratton Park.........
Former Pompey youngster Matt Ritchie's first Scotland goal gives Gordon Strachan's side a workmanlike win over Qatar in their friendly. Well done to Matt - brilliant young talent, who we should never have released.

Dundee United have rejected an offer in the region of £900,000 from Celtic for ex-Pompey striker Nadir Ciftci. The Turkish-born forward scored 16 goals for United last season and is under contract for another year. Ciftci is due to answer a charge of "excessive misconduct" next month after the Scottish FA accused him of biting Dundee midfielder Jim McAlister on the leg during the final match of last season. The player could face a lengthy ban if found guilty but United say they are "fully supportive" of the striker. He obviously considers Luis Suarez to be his role model.......

Former Everton manager Howard Kendall has died at the age of 69. Kendall played for the Toffees and managed them on three occasions, with his first spell in charge being the most successful in the club's history. He led the side to two First Division titles, as well as an FA Cup triumph and European Cup Winners' Cup win. In a managerial career of more than 700 games, Kendall also took charge of Blackburn, Manchester City, Notts County and Sheffield United. How sad - 69 is no age
League One side Millwall have signed Wolves midfielder Jed Wallace on a one-month loan deal. The 21-year-old has only featured seven times since moving to Molineux from Portsmouth last summer. "Jed is a player we would liked to have signed permanently, but Wolves won the race for his signature," Lions boss Neil Harris told the club website. "He has real ability, is a hard working boy, and will provide good competition in the midfield area."
A SAINTS fan called Dan Portsmouth had a lucky escape – after he was charged at by a bull offended by his Southampton shirt. The Asda worker said he had to move out the way ‘like a matador’ to avoid the huge animal as it came thundering towards him after spotting him wearing the team’s red and white home attire. It’s been reported that the runaway bull had escaped from a field and was later shot dead by police after endangering traffic on the A326 at Totton. Mr Portsmouth wrote on his Facebook page: ‘Run away bull in West Totton runs towards me and I have to move out the way like a matador, maybe I should have worn my green away shirt out instead of the red and white stripes of my saints home shirt lol.’ Read more: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/people/bull-chases-saints-fan-in-red-and-white-shirt-1-7169016#ixzz3xpZDczcY
Possibly Channon, although it would have been better served on Gosport Borough's site. Still, very amusing though
