The goal in the 2006 Cup final is definitely one of my favourites, 4 minutes of injury time Gerrard aching with cramp and then whack. Extra time, I knew we were going to win it then. Another one of my favourites was at home to Middlesbrough 2008/2009, 1-0 down with very little time left, Carra scores a rare goal, and Stevie wins in the dying seconds. One of my fondest memories is Stevie clutching his ear whilst running past Everton fans when he's scored against them.
Legend, but we are carrying his atm. We need to use him as an impact player, behind Suarez, but as it is we have don't have enough cover for Lucas so Gerrard is getting run into the ground. Being wasted imo. But we have no choice.
Gerrard is in the top 10 players to grace the club, whether or not he's in the top 2 is debatable. We've had so many wonderful players and I know he would grace any era, but I'm convinced that there has been at least 2 better players than him. One being Billy Liddell, a player that played for 20 years and could play all 10 outfield positions and another being Emlyn Hughes, he had everything, he was graceful, he has aggressive, he had boundless energy and he was a leader. Some people may disagree as its open to debate.
IMO , Liverpools best EVER player, BAR NONE. And for a few years ( between 24yo and 30yo) he was the " Most Complete " footballer in the world , in that he can do everything and has almost every attribute a footballer could want, he can cross, shoot, score goals, long pass, short pass, left foot, right foot ,tackle, play all positions, reads the game ,head, defend, free kicks, corners, penalties, he has pace, endurance, leader, temperment. For me the " MOST COMPLETE British Footballer Ever".Not many footballers have as many qualities in ALL areas of the pitch in like Stevie has, maybe Beckenbauer,Matthaus,Nedved but Im struggling to think of many more A true "Roy of the Rovers" figure and a Liverpool Legend

Kenny Dalglish is Liverpools greatest and is the UK's greatest ever footballer bar none. Stevie for me is definitely in the top 4. He is definitely the most complete English midfielder ever. He is the only allround midfielder to ever play for England.. He can do the lot, attack, defend, wonderful passing accuracy, and he can hit thunderbolts from long distance. He's also versatile in that he can play 5 different positions. There is no other English midfielder that could do that.
