His dead ball delivery was fantastic mate, without him you'd have probably lost, as he provided 2 assists. However, in open play he's a shadow of his former self. He gets left for dead at times these days, caught flat footed not able to react at the pace he did in his pomp.
I'll go flog myself later but I agree with Tobes, he's still great at delivering a pass, be it from open play from a dead ball situation but he gets run past/over too many times nowadays, I think he'll be able to go at it 100% for 60mins but Rodgers has got to stop playing him the full 90.
Playing as a forward thinking midfielder who is relieved of the prime responsibibilty to defend could mean thaat he playes for the full 90 minutes!
