For those going I hope you enjoy the game and can come back with a report about how well our youngsters and Chung have done. Plus the rest of course.
Kelvin is the only one of the starting 11 from the Wigan game who may be travelling. The rest aren't.
Of course he'll be there, he's club captain! The news doesn't surprise me that no-one else is travelling though - where did you hear this?
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/arti...ts-preview-337380.aspx?pageView=full#anchored Doesn't appear that we are making too much of an effort.
With several fringe players playing I can see us putting in plenty of effort to try to move closer to the starting eleven of the first team.
Is this definitely true? Might have a go at one or two of the reserves for first goalscorer before they cotton on.
Looks like we'll need to be very tidy if we're playing Stephens and Seaborne at the back. They're bound to have a big, ugly striker or 2 looking to expose their inexperience.
Knowing that this isn't the most important game thise season, I will still be disappointed to lose. A chance for the u18/21s to prove the future's bright.
Yeah I too would be extremely disappointed if we lose. A good cup run is important to give the youngsters first-team experience, and getting wins from anywhere is good for morale in a league where we might find winning runs difficult to come by.
Rowe tweeted good luck to Moore, Stephens, Sinclair, Shaw, Chambers, Ward-Prowse and Hoskins - I'm guessing that means they're all involved tonight.
Another youngster to watch out for is Ryan Seager - proper goalsniffer. The u18s beat Newcastle 2-1 at Staplewood, highlights on player, well worth a look. They play some nice football.
Looking forward to see how those youngsters get on tonight. Can't imagine thy well have many supporters up there but hopefully well see some good highlights and we can determine just what their made of.
Good to see Hoskins, Moore & Sinclair given a first team chance! Have a feeling Hoskins might start with Lee & Sharp
