I'm glad that this statement has been made now. I really want to have a fully fit Gerrard available for selection and without the pressure to rush him back this now has a chance to happen. It also means that we can prepare our midfield options for the first part of the season. Then, when Gerrard does become available we have essentially a new major talent available to us. Last year we proved that we can still win without him being on the pitch. Now, with Adam and Aqua available we have improved that area of our game. This should be looked upon as good news.
Ah. At the end of the day, we did pretty well without Gerrard at the end of last season so isn't a massive issue. Would have still like him back though. It's important that we have a 100% fit Steven Gerrard rather than a 75% fit Steven Gerrard. Get well soon Steven.
I wonder if the officials would notice an extra 34 players on the pitch? Especially when most of them would be picked from the Academy.
Not a problem,We're not a ''One man team'',we aren't Gerrard dependent. We are set up differently in that we're dependent on 11 players and not individuals. ''There is no I in team''
Oh dear, Wakka is on this site. This is the very reason why Aquilani is important for us, just hope he stays.
Wakka apparently has three different user-names and it hasn't been picked up by the super mods. He's Wakkalfc,Wakka1 and Wakka2. All it takes is to check the IP address,Its not the first time either,Lettuce has three aliases after being banned, they are David Schofield,Ricardo Lux and Unbiased opinion.
Wakka is useful for us as whatever he says we know (from 606 experience) that the opposite must be 100% fact ...plus its easy to think of an appropriate nickname for him eh
None of them have the same IP addresses, simply because it's far too easy to change IPs. We could ban them, but then what's the point? Just stick them on ignore if they bother you.
To be very honest, it may well be a blessing-in-disguise! We need to stop relying on Stevie and realise that our squad is strong even without him. Personally i'd line up Charlie Adam and Aquilani in midfield for us, and it is also one step to helping our over-crowded midfield situation. Don't all throw the seasons ambitions out just yet, look at what happened without Stevie Last year, we went on a scoring rampage! Our squad has depth guys.....
Good to see you again artist. Anyone remember that lad who slated Kenny for using Maxi in the starting 11 before the B'ham game, he then went on to score 2 hat tricks in the next 3 games and a goal against Newcastle. --------------- I think "Rampaging Raul" played better under Kenny Dalglish when Saurez wasn't playing, he is a very good attacking player to have in the team though, his runs open up the defense a bit. The Aquilani, Adam and Lucas midfield is a very strong and creative line up and to have the likes of Raul/Aquilani on the bench there is always an option that could change the game.
