He looks great alongside spider in that triangle - they just tend to have other midfielders in their pocket....has he played a century of games yet? Delighted to see him get a break finally, lovely to see him finally getting some baize.
Yeah, I reckon that this whole thing has been put up to get some truly terrible puns in and the original Steven Davis subject matter....well, it's just a plant.
Davis is a player that you don't always notice....he plugs away doing quality work. He has looked good this season in a team with several top midfielders. This award is the first chalked up to him this year.
He was very noticeable against Everton. But for Nat Clyne's stellar performance, Steve would gave had MOTM himself.
Well, he was once Rangers captain. I think that's quite a big break. But I also think he is a better player these days, or in better form, than when he arrived from Scotland.
I'd like to know who's idea it was to sign him. He wouldn't have been on many fans' radars before he signed but someone at the club did some serious homework on him and he was an absolute bargain; almost a crime. Just proves there are bargains out there. Steve Davis 6/700k ?? Jack Cork 750k ??
Wasn't he a freebie..? Not at all sure, but I've a feeling he didn't have a contract anymore, as Rangers had gone bust. DTLW, where are you..?
Everyone likes to get a bargain. Punch was only 300k. The great thing about only buying players on these sums is that there is very little risk. Dani on the other hand... Of course Rickie is the buy of the century, but I wonder how much of the money we owe on transfers is due to additional fees payable upon promotion?
initially we signed him as a free agent but when the owners of the new rangers started claiming they had acquired the players' registrations i think we were the first to break ranks and agree compensation. the season had started by then, i think.
