Like the bones of Rafa's comments, fits with the idea he's getting more responsibility. Personally I'm happy to shut my doom-mongering up for the next 7 days and see what direction this all takes.

What concerns me is that he was the scout for U-21's. Not sure what he has been scouting but it hasn't been footballers!

To me he looked good in a Newcastle shirt. Id argue an under 21 scout never had the say Carr does. Perhaps that's why Benitez has pushed for Carr out and this fella in....

Head of recruitment instead of chief scout. Names might well be meaningless but I know Rafa wouldn't have accepted the title of head coach. All that matters is Benitez having final say
