Early days yet but I'm not expecting we'll be tearing up trees this season. 'Patience' as TF likes to remind us. (Deep sigh).

    What do we all think?

Well Sean seems to be buying into Steve's new QPR style<ok>

Sean Goss believes the whole QPR squad have bought into the style of play Steve McClaren wants his team to adopt.

The 22-year-old, who spent the second half of last year on loan at Rangers, believes it’s up to the players to express themselves on the pitch in the way the manager is encouraging them to.

Speaking as one of the guests at the QPR Community Trust Summer Schools this week, Goss told www.qpr.co.uk how everyone is enjoying their football under McClaren.

“Everyone is loving the style he has brought and what he’s trying to do with us,” explained Goss.
“He wants to see a possession-based team and the training we are doing is hopefully going to get us to where we want to be.
“Once we are on the pitch, only we can do what the manager has asked, but we are well prepared for it and it’s a happy camp right now.”

Unfortunately the Manchester United graduate will miss the start of the season because of a slight back problem that he picked up in training.

After being away with Rangers for the second half of last term he’s looking forward to returning to Loftus Road and playing Championship football.

“I’m a few weeks away injury wise, I’m working hard in the gym. It’s a shame because I was really enjoying training and loving what we were doing so I can’t wait to get back on the pitch,” said Goss.

And the new QPR number six thinks he can learn from the experience he picked up on loan at Rangers where he scored two goals in 15 appearances.

“It was nice to enjoy first-team football up there but I’m focused on winning my place in the QPR team," he said. "I’ve got a taste for it now but I just have to stay focused, it’s a long season so I’m hoping to come back as soon as possible."

Steve McClaren is the manager of the month for October. The first QPR manager to win the award for eight years ...

    Can't be a recent interview.

If he can somehow manage to keep his head fixed at precisely this angle in photos, he could conceivably ask the question “Who’s hair island?” with genuine conviction.
