Fair enough, don't know where I got that from. Either way, comfortable and then Kean replaced him and ****ed everything up
I would have thought that as long as they are in or around the top 2 Steve Kean should be safe for now at least. The only ALAN that would want the Blackburn job would be ""Alan Partridge"". Yes they were and Yes it was. Even funnier was A)The Venkys tooka copy of the book about Blackburns history back to India and...B)They did not know about PL relegation. You really cannot make this up.
That was the year before though wasn't it? Different team and whatever. They were never going to finish 6th in a million years. With the PL as strong as it has been the last few years, they'd have done well to finish around 13th-ish. Did they though? I really think they had one of the very worst squads. How many of their players have been snapped up by bigger teams after relegation? I haven't checked but I imagine just Hoilett, who was the only player of any note. Compare that to Wolves and they sold two players for £20m+ yet with that talent they still finished way, way, behind everyone else. Blackburn seemed to have 3 or 4 youth players in their squad half the time, such was the lack of quality they had. Bolton too, they had miles better players than Blackburn, and went from finishing something like 7th the year before last to getting relegated. So Coyle and McCarthy should be even ****ter right?
