But he won't be the DaviesHeadband player of the month. That will be McShane, who won the mom voting at Swansea and Southampton.

Our defence is the 11th best in the Premier League. Our attack is joint 18th best.

We still haven't conceded more than three goals since we first got promoted. For a club our size at this level that's amazing. On the flip side, we've scored nil with alarming frequency this season.

Our defence is a midtable one, but our attack is bottom 3 standard. Without Jelavic anyway.

    Stats.

You'll be telling me every forward player has to score 20 goals next.

Who cares about defensive records and whatever statistics, the truth is, McGregor ****s up and dishes goals out to our enemies at key times. Having a good defensive record doesn't alter the fact that McGregor is a **** keeper, it would be even better without McGregors contribution.

Harper has made a massive difference, he appears so much more confident, makes excellent decisions, the last game against Liverpool proves this. McGregor is also a very good keeper and we need to keep him, if Harper retires we could really do with him taking over as the goalkeeping coach.

Remind me, has he said for defo that he's retiring at the end of the season? Either way, 2 new keepers if Mcgregor leaves or 1 new one and him relegated to ressie is THE priority for the summer. If Sunlan go down we could do a lot worse than Pantilimon.

Agree on the Pantilimon one, if they go down and we stay up, that'd be worth a shout, but I can't imagine that they'd be in too much trouble financially and wouldn't need to sell, so like Ruddy at Naarch they'd be able to hold onto him me thinks. Wonder if Defoe has a relegation wage drop clause? Bloody hope not

But they have a perfectly good Championship keeper as back-up so it might be needs must. Mannone is too good to be on a bench at that level.

With Greggsy in goal greater the likelihood we go a goal down as he's not been on his game, and then we are fighting for a draw! Think I saw a statement earlier this week that over the last 22 Premier League matches we've only lost once when leading at half time!!! With Harps the confidence of the back four 'seems' to be higher.

A new goalie will be on Bruceys shopping list I suspect if/when we stay up. If that happens and Harps wants another year, I'd say goodbye to The Jak.

I'm not arguing that McGregor has been brilliant or that Harper hasn't.

I'm saying it's ridiculous to put all the credit on the change of keeper.

He's said he'll make a decision at the end of the season.

Fully agree Lambo, but there again the spine of our team has been changed in the last couple of games, and that's what has made the major difference for me. Harper has undoubtedly come in and done a fantastic job but also having Chezzy back in the centre of defence was something that desperately needed doing. That has allowed Thudd more freedom to play higher up the pitch, which in turn means that our forwards, Aluko in particular, aren't being forced to drop deep to collect the ball to make things happen.

Harper has been very important in the last couple of games but just as important, if not more so, has been the playing of Chezzy in his best position.
