There was still a point in the 1st half where he lost the ball and he didnt even attempt to get it back, so I still believe he is getting lazy/or not as fit. Great performance as a whole though.

I thought Gerrard was superb last night and has found his form - scoring goals and getting assists.

It will be interesting to see how well he copes against Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City away because I don't think he'll be given as much time and space to threaten, and this is my issue. When given time and space - as we saw against QPR, Fulham and Sunderland, he can be devastating and is a big asset. In his prime, he would influence any match, in any situation, on any stage ...

However, he is in form and almost back to his best - all he needs is a few long range belters <laugh>

i think he is having to choose his moments more carefully, when its worth that extra bit of energy for eg.

he is getting older so i doubt he is as fit energy levels wise, but Gerrard half fit is still miles better than a lot of over rated players out there, Carrick being an example.

i wanted him pushed further forward, but after seeing the balls he can still spray around, it would be a waste of his talent.

He is clearly benefitting from having lucas back, its also helped that we have played a few poorer teams that give him time and allow our players tons of space for him to pass into.

Don't even get me started on his corners though, drives me bloody mad

His whip technique works great for most free kicks though, but he ignorantly uses the same for corners and always hits the first man.

England will always be **** as long as players like Gerrard are rated over players like Carrick and Scholes. For some reason this country has always rated hustlers over footballers. Heskey won more caps than Beardsley and Carlton Palmer played for England.

i agree with No One Famous, Carrick's underrated and doesn't get the credit he deserves.

    You're entitled to your opinion.

You've probably been disappointed and confused for the majority of the past 10 years.

Problem is, it takes a tiny amount of common sense to see past a typo and understand a message, so obviously NOF will struggle.
