oh my GOD this guy looks the shizz!!! he is friggin rapid and gets his head down and bombs it at people!!! dont think iv been excited like this to see a player in quite a while!! cannot WAIT to see him in action.
While I'm still not getting too excited about De Ridder (because all we have to go in is youtube videos, and hey, anyone can look good on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAphZQti85c) I'm still not too worried if we lose AOC. While this lineup looks sweet - ----Cork----Schneiderlin---- De Ridder--Lallana--Oxlade-Chamberlain ---------Lambert------- Is it really much worse than ----Cork------Schneiderlin---- De Ridder---Guly-----Lallana ---------Lambert------- ?
Was a bit unsure about Steve so I typed him in on google. I looked on the wikipedia page and saw that he had bagged about 60 goals in 100 appearances. I know wikipedia can be inaccurate but if this is true we have got one hell of a phenom on our hands! On bbc website it said that a significant sum was paid. How much do you think we got him for?
Someone changed his wiki for some reason. He's scored 19 in 90 games or something, which is probably average for a winger.
From the looks of those videos he's a very good player in the final third. Plenty of examples of floated crosses from the byline, putting the ball on the 6 yard line from deeper and he can even find the channnels with his passing. Also, he's got pace, he looks too have quite a bit of strength (which I think will be key in the championship) and it looks like he's a good striker of the ball! Very excited to see this guy play! Where did Cortese & co. pull this beauty from? (rhetorical Question) In a perfect world, this signing might show AOC that this club has real ambition this season and persuade him to stay!! Caabbaaannn
Sadly that wasn't true, it's 12 in 93 which isn't great for a winger (though he describes himself in the interview as a provider above all else). Otherwise we'd have a talent probably sought after by Europe's elite.
I looked at De Ridders stats and he's scored quite a few on loan previously, not sure who it was for. But he's scored about 12 for De Graafchaps, and 20 odd for the loan. Not too bad. Anyways he seems more of a supplier.
Sorry, a bit late on this one but having watched the videos, I think it's Lambert who must be drooling looking at all those terrific crosses! Also, he seems to be great with either peg.
My language skills (Google translate) lead me to discover Bedankt Doetinchem voor de mooiste tijd van zijn leven! means Doetinchem (the place in Netherlands where De Graafschap hail from), thanks for the best time of my life!
Let's hope the rest of the team can keep up.....always cautious with YouTube clips, but not only is he quick, it looks like he takes the ball with him! Plus looks like quite a firey character on the pitch. Think he'll be entertaining to watch
From what he has said in his interview and his comments on twitter you get the impression he is a nice guy who had built up a good relationship with De Graafschap and it's fans and now want's to do the same thing with us. I got a good feeling about this one! Well done Cortese et all. And I just love how there was no sign of this coming, 33yr old Boa Morte? No thanks, 24yr old lightning quick De Ridder yes please!!

according to the sun, although i take it with a pinch of salt, we beat nottingham forest in signing him for a fee of 500 000
