How they could ignore the defence and strikers is baffling. We played the same CB pairing that got us relegated in 2009 on Saturday for christ sake.
Mike Ashley - I will absolve him of direct blame this time. Lee Charnley is the guy that needs to be targeted. Him, Carr, McClaren and that sycophantic stooge, Bob Moncur. Our illustrious footballing board.

We could have signed the entire Leicester team and some ex players would be beelin that we don't have enough in the squad.

People overlook that Andros and Shelvey are both England internationals. We probably could have bought 5 strikers and defenders but would they necessarily be good enough.... ?

We seem to be targeting the RIGHT player and long term... if we did manage to stay up this is the correct decision. I honestly think we went for some top talent up front and in defence but for whatever reason it didn't come off.

If true then it shows that Mike Ashley has learnt NOTHING whilst 'ruling' Newcastle United.

Cast your minds back to when he gave Alan Shearer EIGHT GAMES to save our slide.

It's simply not enough time for a new Manager to come in and change anything.
The players cannot be sold or new ones brought-in so it's pretty pointless. (no pun intended)

A decision like this should be made in December so that any new man coming in has a chance to shake things up.

I hate to say it, but look at how well Sam Allardyce has done with his Sunderland signings - they've come in and made an impact and results have improved - it may not be enough in the end, but I think both us and the Mackems are suffering from poor investment in the previous years of this decade.

Do I think Schteve is the man to lead us forward? It doesn't seem like it and the team look pretty useless just now.

Only Jose Mourinho could work the magic required to save us from the drop, but that is NEVER going to happen.

What other Manager could inspire this bunch of lazy, inept, over-paid buffoons?
