Whoever it is I'd suggest that they allow Bruce to do the talking, he's rather good at it

Lets hope he has a smattering of psychoanalytical talent in his skill set too - he'll need it. A touch of expertise in brain surgery may also come in handy.

Who ever the rep is should remind Allam that 40 odd years ago he left Egypt because of the dictatorial abuse that he is displaying today

Yeah because comparing a murderous and barbaric regime to our successful and safe football club wouldn't be stupid at all.

Irrespective of the name change proposal, the club still needs to raise it's turnover.

The easiest way for next season (assuming we stay up) is to increase season tickets prices. If the club can generate an extra £200 per seat per season (x 25000) this would raise £5m - it's a start. £300 per seat = £7.5m

So how many of us will happily pay an extra £200-£300 per season to keep the name ?

Burnsy was quite emphatic that this was written by a well respected journalist on the back of an interview with AA and his opinion was it was not taken out of context at all. He also said that Assem Allam had stated to him that he had been offered the freehold to the stadium and had in fact turned this down.

This was broadcast yesterday morning on BBC Radio Humberside.

    Any updates on this?

Your apology is accepted. I didn't take it personally. However the CTWD campaign has been run by about 20 people who have tried hard to keep it respectful towards Assem Allam and firm on keeping our name. I think by and large we have succeeded. The win win has always been accept the name work together to find the cash. We should be enjoying the best season we've had and planning for the long term future of Hull City. Instead well......... you just couldn't have made it up.

I know Assem Allam's comments have be misinterpreted and I don't really believe he wants me dead. I thought the chant he got was spot on, he got humour rather than hatred. Hopefully that will continue.

However I think his comments are worse for giving him the benefit of doubt. Many of our supporters helped save the club from going out of business when we were in the 4th division. They didn't lend the club money they gave it as a gift. They are now told, when we are in the richest league in the world, to leave the KC because they are not welcome unless they bow down to the Hull Tiger.

The history of Hull City for all its warts, and there are many of them, is our history. Hull City beat Liverpool for the first time on Sunday. How good does that sound? How about going to work and telling all those Liverpool supporters City's won the FA Cup? Just because we didn't win much in the past doesn't mean our future will be the same. We have a solid team which can achieve success for Hull City and the city, for me, its time to sort out the finances, increase the income and get the debts down. We won't do that as Hull Tigers, together we might do it as Hull City.

I think the best way to go would be to expand the stadium. That would really need a deal with the council, though.

I'd prefer more people in the ground, more support for the team and more people buying merchandise than pricing people out of watching the team.

I would think we could easily get 5,000 away fans and 30,000 home fans at most matches if we were around mid-table and didn't make it hard for people to go to matches.

Oh and it would be nice if they could make the place a bit warmer, it's bloody freezing in the winter, and couldn't they make the seats wider ?

That Mohamady might be Al Qeudo, they should watch him....
