Effectively yes. The club's financial year (as with most other clubs) runs August 1st-July 31st. The only discrepancy comes when we sign players in July rather than August. If for example this summer we sign Livermore for £3M on a contract until 2016 it's a 2 season contract. If we sign him in July then in the accounts he'll cost us £1M this season, £1M next season, and £1M the season after. If we sign him in August then he won't cost us anything this season, but he'll cost us £1.5M next season, and £1.5M the season after. It's fair to say that as far as statements about the club's budget go "year" and "season" will be interchangeable.
