There is an alternative point of view of course. We had 45 mins of a 'good show' football v Liverpool, after a first 30 mins when only the good lord will be able to tell you how we weren't 3 - 0 down. Against the filth, we had 20 mins when we dominated the first half but then because we didn't take our chances, we became predictable and easy to play. We played with 10 men in Gyan but then we all know now the manager was aware of it as well. Oh and remind me again who was the person responsible for NOT recruiting a replacement for Bent? Brighton was a disgrace. Now fully knowing Gyan had his greedy fat head firmly wedged up his greedy fat arse, he rightly left him out but then playing what essentially was a newly promoted 3rd division outfit, saw fit NOT to play the 2 new strikers (one of which had been playing a higher standard for 2 years previously at Ipswich and the other a Korean International) who were both desperate for game time. An even worse decision when you consider that Bruce knew Gyan was likely not to be playing for the next few games. Swansea are a very poor team. Many teams will go there and take all 3 points this season and this Gyan thing keeps being used as an excuse. Bruce was (in his words) aware of the stuff going on behind the scenes; still played him despite knowing he would be useless and still persisting in this folly of convincing no-one Sess is a striker. Again, who is at fault 100% for us being so inadequately prepared for the season in the striking positions? Yes, Mr Bruce. Even if Gyan has been 100% committed to the cause, we all new as did the club and manager back in May, we needed new blood up front not ones for the future. Thats just ****, clueless and totally hapless management IMO. Chelsea was never going to decide Bruce's future but the abject, lacklustre show from the team was a huge step backwards from the past 2 years where at least we gave them a game. Chelsea just got bored with us after half an hour and never got out of 1st gear all afternoon. They didn't have to either did they? Its the managers responsibility to ensure we started this campaign fully prepared and strengthened in the main areas we were weak in last season, especially after Judas left. Forwards (at least 2 were required); a left attacking midfielder and a left back or right back. We got the right back but none of the others. Thats not Quinn's, Shorts, the fans or the medias fault. Thats Steve Bruce's fault 100% However, I agree 100% on your last statement. Lose to Stoke City at home (hardly EPL big boys - well maybe physically they are lol) and quite rightly the crowd should and will turn on the manager. Whether Quinny wants to or not, he will have to report back to Ellis Short on the size of the crowd, the result, the performance and why the fans are pig sick of seeing us lose and finding excuses for this man must be the hardest job in football, especially after 9 months of continual failure. If we lose to Stoke tomorrow, all hell will break loose and there will be NO hiding place for the manager.
