My daughters mother has epliepsy, would I have a laugh at a joke about epliepsy in a pub with a few friends, definitely yes. Different personalities that's all, as I don't take offence at anything that I know is not directed at me in an offensive way, to me that is the difference between a joke and abuse.

So if its not directed against you in an offensive way ....(and then presumably towards somebody else) thats OK? Neither would you if you were a premier club manager use the word epileptic (ignorantly) to describe Sunderland supporters..... substitute moron cretin /spastic for exactly the same effect....they have exactly the same decayed roots in bygone terms for physical/mental disability ......
