Sturridge hasn't been as good on the wing as when he is playing up front. We're wasting SOS (studge or Suarez) if playing either on the wing.

  2. But Junzai is doing it whilst sorrounded by better players and still standing out. Hence C.Ronaldo being better than Suarez too. #manclogic

I went with Dagger over Toure because in a 4-2-4 the fullbacks are expected to give width to the midfield as wing backs. This puts a lot of strain on the 2 center backs so athleticism is important.

Lucas might be better than Gerrard... without trying wouldn't know. Lucas is certainly younger and meet the demands better. Gerrard might be better at moving the ball out of midfield quicker though.

Arguably now a first team player. Good to see a few of our academy lads making the step up. <ok>

Thought Ibe looked positive coming on as well. didn't get much of the ball but was confident enough to cut inside and get his shot away. Let's hope he uses Sterling as a role model on how to break into and stay in the first team plans.

    Anyone still arguing Januzaj's corner?

  10. Its not a direct comparison; ones in his third season, the other his first.

What a player Sterling has become. Still early days but he;s been top class since the Hull game. And to think - he was so close to leaving on loan!

  12. Maybe that gave him a added incentive?

Who knows ... but he's become a pivotal part of our attack. He now runs with the ball at blistering speed, shows no fear - needs to work on his final ball and finishing but he has plenty of time to develop.

  15. He's on fire at the minute but lets wait and see how long he can sustain it. Least we all know he can be a top player if he wants to be now <ok>

If Sterling can learn how to deliver a final ball and finish, he will be world class. He has everything else but height! I'm already looking forward to see how he progresses next season!

Absolutely. Before he went into form, he was known for his pace but I never/rarely actually saw him run quickly with the ball. Now you can see him do it on a weekly basis. Going back to your point - now we can see what he is capable of ...
