About time we got our fair share for Sterling. What's the betting Liverpool are grumbling they have to give us £10m for a player they took for just £1m from us! C'est la vie and kerching!

Think we got £5m in the end with all the add ons and him playing for England, £15m for a 15 year old is pretty good going!

As much as he was a figure of fun for many of us. (Myself included.) Worth saying that Gianni Palladini is deserving of a nod for getting the 20% put in the deal when we sold him. I've been quick to slate him over the years so it only seems fair to point out a positive when there is one.

The deal is not yet complete.
He has to have a medical and may be found lacking any heart or backbone.

Sterling comes across as being an unsavoury character, both greedy and disloyal, displaying the worst characteristics of a modern day footballer. There is some sense that Liverpool feel wronged in this saga which makes me laugh given that they stole Sterling from us for an initial outlay of just £500,000.

I will happily pocket our 20% but nothing I've seen of this 20 year old suggests to me that he is worth £49 million.

Apparently he will be on £200,000 per week.
